Drawn together by fate and the promise of free flowing spirits and a nice sum of gold, our band of young adventurers find themselves journeying through dense woods in search of a "bunch of reptiles following around a four armed demon looking thing"
Sure, it's not much to go on, but to garner the praise and hospitality of thetownsfolk whom this strange band have been terrorizing, would be well worth the time of any aspiring hero.
So they come to a high rising stone wall blocked by briars and thick brush. Not an extraordinary sight aside from the belt pouch which is spotted lying upon the ground.
It contains a green stone, most likely belonging to one of the villagers irate about having been robbed of the jasper stone which he was going to sell off for farming supplies.
Obviously the bandits have come this way. But a wall would stand in their way. Unless they managed to scale it. . . or pass through it.
Perhaps some secret entrance that fledgiling warriors are always hearing about.
Determined to find out, the group presses onward through the shrubbery and suspicions are quickly confirmed.
Concealed behind the greenery is an opening in the wall.
Will these noble souls explore the dark uncertainty beyond or will they turn and admit defeat, gaining only the disappointed frown of the pretty barmaids.

Sam pads over to the opening and pushes his nose through, and sniffs. This would be considered very very odd if it weren't for the fact that Sam was a wolf. And like all wolves, he prefered to hunt as a pack. Turning his head back and looking back at the others with him his eyes make note of the apparant strengths and weaknesses of the group. Guess you cant always choose your pack these days... Slipping into the opening Sam acts as a scout, looking and listening for anything that might be about, especially a four-armed demon, as they are reputedly formidible...

Crege walks up to the opening in the stone wall giving everything a once over with his detect magic spell like ability, he does this almost every hall, room, opening, and encounter. It helps him single out the more important enemies, magical traps and the more valuable loot. He follows the wolf while scanning around with his detect magic..

Alric glared out from under his helm, allowing the wolf-man to push ahead but not breaking his stride. He had chosen to come here, to seek the demon, the decision had been made and now it must be seen through.
He wasn't entirely sure why he heeded the townsfolk's requests; perhaps he was just glad not to be shunned in fear, but he could hear another distant voice, another watching figure, Savnok, he who must be heard.
Whatever this creature was, he would slay it and take it's strength to add to his own. The decision must be seen through.

The hooded figure, a traveling novice sent by one of the local temples, edged forward behind the wolf and the two heavily armed men with his crossbow drawn and ready for action.
He moved so as to be able to see past the men. His eyesight particularly keen at penetrating darkness.
At first glance the mysterious cleric in his hooded cloak seemed of normal height and build, however the observant onlooker might occassionally notice a bulge in the back of his cloak as if he had a tail or as he walked that peeking out from under his cloak were cloven hooves not feet. Hints to his infernal heritage.
OOC: Ism will usually try to hide his horns, tail and hooves when before meeting strangers (Disguise +2) so as to avoid uneducated goatman remarks or worse abuse. His present company are presumably aware of what he is though?7.0

Urging his riding dog Valk onwards, Halefax draws a vial from his belt puch and consumes the contents. A barely visible force field appears about his chest [potion of Mage armour].
"Well, i'm not going in first....it could be dangerous!"
Halefax gives a chuckle and follows the others in, still mounted.
