Frustrated at the lack of a door where one was clearly supposed to be, Crege searches the rest of the surrounding wall for secret passages and the like as a few of the others in the group continue to ponder over the carvings.
Ism thinks on the religious implications. The scene brings to mind various rituals involving the dead, but what it is depicting speciffically Ism finds it difficult to tell for sure.
In wolf form, Sam watches as Alric and Halefax focus their attention on the skeleton's mouth, believing that the picture is trying to tell them something directly.
Testing his luck, Alric procures his wineskin and pours a bit of its contents into the opening of the skeleton's mouth. . .
Upon doing so, a slight scraping sound is heard as the wall bearing the carving of the skeleton begins to budge. It appears that the real door has been located.
It opens to reveal a dark and narrow hallway which turns and continues on up ahead. The walls here are smoother than what might be expected of stone walls within a cave or catacomb. They bear many small craters and have a soft blue tinge to them.
If the group should head down the hall, they will eventually come to a closed wooden door.
In the hall it is eerily quiet. The sound of silence rings in the ears of the companions as they leave the sound of the outdoors far behind.
At the next door now. . . will our heroes press onward into the unknown?

Sam will lead the way, useing his nose and eyes to notice anything out of the ordinary.

Moving at a steady pace he makes no more noise than is required, his armour making stealth unlikely but his barbarian instincts still strong. He allows the wolf and loon ahead of him before he advances into the corridor not out of fear but curiosity.
The plain door comes as something of a anticlimactic end to the mysterious blue-tinged corridor. Before Crege can jump forward to blast it Alric raises his hand for silence and makes a pushing moton towards Sam.
Alric grips his sword and waits. The door seemed out of place to the rest of the catacomb, perhaps something added by those they hunt.

Halefax grins "Phew! Lucky guess eh?"
Giving his riding dog a stroke and a scruffing, Halefax urges it onward through the new opening following behind the others. He keeps an eye out as best he can.

Crege goes in after his friends trying to keep an eye out for ambushes and traps.

Ism walks down the corridor too, crossbow still at the ready. As he passes along he wonders what might cause the unusual texture and colour of the walls.
