Crege hears the sounds of an encounter up ahead and quickly pushes past his companions with sword drawn. He enters the room swinging crit confirm [dice=20]
The leader immediately falls at Crege's feet in a bloody heap.
Alric rushes in and successfully interposes himself between the kobolds and the disc and rod which hang from the far wall.
Sam moves in and delivers a nasty bite to one of the kobolds and successfuly takes it out of the fight.
Ism finds it difficult to make his shot and the bolt flies wide as he tries to take into account his allies and the close quarters.
Halefax moves into the room and unleashes a cone of rippling colors which fill the room
Two of the remaining kobolds are rendered unconscious by the array of overwhelming colors.
The last two kobolds realize their predicament and move to flee but not before Alric cuts one down in his tracks.
The last kobold moves quickly through the western door.
The group now finds themselves in the room with three dying kobolds, two unconscious ones, and the device which hangs from the wall.
There are two more identical wooden doors which lead out of the room. One to the west which the last kobold used to escape, and one to the east.
There is not much treasure of use aside from about fifty gold pieces, the small sized chain shirt and masterworked heavy mace, and the heavy disc and rod upon the wall which look to be of decent quality. [rand=92565613922835150630980846372195904044749568068182174758527887]

Knowing the runt could not outrun the wolf Alric ensures that he does not block Sam's path, holding his blade ready lest more of the creatures lie in wait. Alric stands by the western door, giving Sam the space to get past. He'll act as guard until the others have finished scavenging and are ready to move on. 6

Sam does quickly chase down and bring down the last kobold.

"This might not be too bad." Ism observes. "If the lizard beings we are following are just a few kobolds, then lets just hope whatever the thing with 4 arms is is quite weak too."
Ism moves to where he can get a clear shot down the corridor the kobold escaped down in case anything comes back that way. Reloading his crossbow he will wait.
Remembering he is crocuhed near several prone kobolds Ism asks "Should we tie these guys up then wake one up and question it?"

Crege takes a few a rounds to scan the room and the bodieswith detect magic and then takes the the time to loot the bodies.

Halefax dispatches the unconcious kobolds with his dagger and remounts his riding dog.
Assuming the remaining kobold is cut down he adds "Well, i assume that door the kobold was fleeing through only leads to more of them. Shall we go over there or chance the other door?"
