With all in agreement that Sam chomps down on the last kobold and that Crege wields one hell of a shiny sword, the band of intrepid adventurers, ever increasing in size, heads through the WESTERN door. but not without looting first. . . The gong which was likely an alarm that Alric prevented the kobolds from sounding looks shiny and bronze. It weighs about 40 pounds, but it might fetch a pretty copper, or maybe even numerous gold coins. There is also some chalk strewn about, and of course, five bone dice. (small sized spears, small chainshirt, small heavy mace Masterworked, small throwing axe small 31 gp) ROLL Knowledge Local or Bardic Knowledge if you have them.--- Moving along down a short corridor with the same eerie blue tinged walls, the companions come to another chamber, though this one has no door. Glancing within. . . Seeming to step from the wall itself is the stone carving of a large man in a billowing cloak. He He is a hooded figure bearing a grim expression and holding a boradsword with its blade facing down. The other hand he holds out, palm facing the entranceway as if commanding a halt. Aside from this, the room is empty. to the east there is another opening which leads out of this chamber and into another hallway. Sensing a an area of moderate magic in the north part of the newly discovered chamber Crege gives a warning to the rest of the group "Careful the north center part of the room has some type of magical aura." Crege then tries to discern what the magic is. spellcraft check [dice=20]+4 [rand=39447731594683055197148125729790467104874395846635405718717533474]

"Magic?? nothing a few strong swings with a stronger axe can't take care of" even with this said he doesn't enter because magic scares him and it shows in the way he speaks and the way he moves(or doesn't move).7.0

"Another test" observes Alric, remembering the first statue, "not a challenge, a warning" - he points at the position of the statue's sword, interpreting as a warrior would.
Holding his ground he looks around, seeing only the opening to the next hallway. No such challenge could be seen, but was aware that others could see what he could not.
[we haven't really determined a 'marching order' as such, but Alric will keep his distance behind Sam and whoever else is scouting to avoid alterting kobalds with the sound of his armoured footfalls.
Ultimately however, if none are willing to advance Alric will move through the entrance.]6.0

Crege marks the edges of the magical aura with numerous eldrith blasts and puts one in the center to see if triggers anything. Crege then moves forward to the edge of the magical aura and test the ground with his sword.

Alric gives Crege's blasts due space, wondering what the spellthrower would try to demolish next.

Noticing the somewhat bemused looks on his companions faces " Just marking the edges of the magical aura. I have absolutely no idea what does so I recommend avoiding it if possible." He continues "If the kobolds put it their its likely some type trap if it was here before them then it could be anything."

Tork now to not be shown up by the shiny swordsman will enter. and will head for the opening to the east to get out of the room. (if nothing happens to crege from his experimentations)
(if something noticeable does happen) he will move just inside and to the side of entryway axe at the ready.
(marching order, Tork will go first unless someone or something(sam) wants to scout ahead then he'll just be second behind the scout.)

Once everyone has decided there is nothing to be known or said about the stuff Sam will lead the way, stealthfully...

Halefax frowns as he looks at the carving....but in the end, they had to go on further if they wanted to get to the bottom of the kobolds and whatever else laid in wait so onwards it was. At least there was another meatshield....a keen one at that!
Halefax says nothing else and follows along behind the warriors.

As the group begins to move Alric looks once more towards the statue, and then towards the newly created scorch marks on the ground... something in the back of his mind was speaking to him.
To hold a sword down, in one hand, the swordsman's stance was unusual. He looked once more to the scorches and then to the wolf he advanced.
"The ground. It warns us to ware the ground"6

Sam stops, turns around and looks Alric dead in the eye. Then looking back at the image he will nod his head in agreement, and watch the floor intently as he moves foward.

Crege "makes sense, Prod the ground with your weapons before you stay clear of the area marked with scorch marks". Crege carefully advances proding the ground in front of his advance with the tip of his blade.
