(I'm reposting this in it's own thread, but i couldn't transfer the dice rolls, so I've left them out but you can trust me as to what happens.)
---------------
Corvus freezes up as the workshop and the activities within threaten his elven sensibilities.
Pandoro shouts out at the man at the tables, ordering him to release these kobolds from his magical grasp.
The man looks to the Favored soul of Kord, a dumbfounded expression on his face.
"Uhh," he manages, his throat dry and his voice cracking.
Balen also poses a question, but the kobolds do not answer.
They begin to shout, their voices echoing due to the great accoustics in this place. Though most cannot understand what they are saying, it is obvious that they are calling for backup.
Some in the group of heroes are insistent upon forcing the initiative.
The kobolds notice the familiar sparkle in their eyes and they take their actions.
One draws a whistle from a rope worn about its neck and brings it to his mouth, blowing as hard as he can.
The shrill sound fills the cavern.
listen checks
Our adventurers can only hope that the whistle and the sounds of the shouting remain unheard by any nearby threats.
The other kobold raises his sling and takes a shot at Sar, the closest of our heroes.
Sar and his agile reflexes manage to evade the rock flying his way.
Balen moves foward and chucks his spear at one of the kobolds.
The impact brings the small creature to its knees, and then to the floor it collapses out of the fight.
Furious with this wizard and his inconsiderate feelings toward home owners, Strom rushes foward and attacks one of the kobolds, that he may have an easier time subduing Badman.
Charging in
However, in his fury, Strom fails to connect, but woe betide the kobold should his head have been one foot higher.
The one kobold knows that the odds are stacked against him as he manages to make a little more noise before the inevitable gang beatdown.
listen checks
The brave band of five have defeated the kobolds and now stand in a cavern with the strange man/wizard and his laboratory.
Without hesitation, the man quickly throws his arms up into the air.
A gesture of surrender or the final somatic component of his most deadly spell?
Will our heroes wait to find out?
