Balen abandons the kobold that he is fighting in favor of getting his axe on the vile Crooknek. The blade manages to break through the bugbear thing's defenses and Balen scores a lethal blow.
Somehow Crooknek still manages to remain standing upright after that.
Sar moves around a bit, looking for the best shot that he can get. Unfortunately, it turns out that where he was standing in the first place was the spot which provided the best vantage point, and his arrow flies a bit too high to hit its mark.
Pandoro rushes at Crooknek full force. Balen's damage dealt looks severe enough that Kord's favored soul may very well be able to move in for the kill steal.

Strom and Corvus move in with the torches as they realize that the party has been working without any torchlight.
Crooknek is infuriated that no one wanted to even TRY to Parley with him. He launches his frustrated attack at Balen.
He falls out of his defensive stance and takes a swing

It is a solid hit and the longsword which Crooknek sees no reason that he shouldn't wield two-handed cuts into the barbarian.

The remaining kobold rallies and runs at Sar, an all to familiar looking vial being drawn as he races forth.
As the kobold comes to a stop, it hurls the vial at Sar.

As the vial hits Sar, it shatters and the scout errupts into flames once more

It's enough to make one conclude that along with making the traps, these kobolds also had that inventor hard at work crafting these accursed vials of fire.

EDIT:Now that Strom and Corvus have arrived with the light, you can feel free to control them if they don't post, or you guys can try to finish this on your own.
