In diamond formation, our bulked up adventurers travel onward to the dripping waters and strange underground breezes.
Sar heads in first, reminding the others to remain exactly ten feet behind him.
As he steps into the room, he quickly halts, taking naught a step further as he realizes that something is odd.
Looking down at his boots which Pandoro so kindly illuminates for him, Sar quickly comes to the realization that he is stepping in semi wet tar.
Quickly he backs out, noting that the tar stretches all the way across the chamber.
Now that Sar has discovered it and points it out to the rest, all can just barely make it out, disguised so well within the cavern's dark and rocky ground. A thin layer of dust sits upon it. No kobolds have left their tracks over the tar.
Corvus takes a look around and notes that all of the tracks which cross through this chamber are on the easternmost side. This would have to be the tar-free way.
Sar carries on leading the group, his shoes leaving behind black smudges as he walks. He will likely be leaving behind black tracks for days until he should find himself a new pair of boots.

Heading on through the chamber and into the next corridor, the adventurers find the ground to be covered in pieces of jagged flint which it seems that the kobolds have been mining and smashing. The stuff is strewn all about and would take hours to sweep up. No doubt someone without a sturdy pair of leather boots would be in some serious pain should they decide to walk through here.
Fortunately, our adventurers did not lose their shoes to the mighty tar and walk on unscathed.

Our heroic five stop as they come to a steep precipice. They look at a sheer fifty foot drop into a natural cavern bed filled with sharp rock outcroppings.
The ceiling soars to fifty feet over the edge of the cliff. A slight breeze comes from the cavern.
To the east of the doorway all will note two contraptions of poles and canvas leaning against the wall. They are vaguely shaped like pairs of wide wings attatched to some sort of harness.
Most noteably, there are also four kobolds in strange gray armor here.
Alerted by the torchlight and the approach of strangers, one does not hesitate to shout and reveal its surprise,
"Holy Crap!"
