SEA GREEN
Gliding down, the Scalanders bring the rescue team to a long, low building, the one contains the cellar where they think the Callers are being held. Though moving quickly, the group is unable to completely avoid the frantic defenders. Shortly after landing, the Scalanders are caught fending off a few of them. “Go ahead!” their leader calls. “Get the Callers!” The lizardmen appear to be handling themselves just fine, and seem far more worried about the fate of the Callers.
The entrance to the building is just around one corner, and on arriving, the group is immediately faced with its guards—two plate-clad soldiers of the Master. A makeshift gong has been rigged up by the door, probably meant to sound the alarm in case of an attack—like this one. But it would seem everyone is alerted already at any rate.
The men glance at each other and draw longswords. “Surrender, or serve the Master in death!”

Gildas, Lenny-
[Fangor- You are correct, even with the obvious boots on the character sheet, I still neglected them. Damn. Lenny will easily be able to keep up.
Vemu- The fence is made of iron, strong and durable, tipped with points. The points are more decorative than practical. It’s a good 6 feet in height (about 1.8 meters), and easily climbable with a decent climb check, though this may draw AoOs. ]
The Tertians fall into their tried-and-true combat tactics, flanking enemies, dividing and conquering. Lenny and Gildas heavily injure two of the plate-clad warriors, allowing for Wanderer and Wystfalrun to follow up. The big Yexuhl barbarian is looking worse and worse, however, and one big sweep of his maul lands a blow that is paltry compared to his usual blows. It doesn’t even fell the heavily injured Deathspeakers.
Wystfalrun, on the other hand, is a whirling engine of death. He clobbers the foe damaged by Lenny, bringing him to the ground with a bash of the copper bone and a stab of Enix. He turns his attention on another injured Deathspeaker, landing two more blows that fell that man as well.
The Deathspeakers fight back with fury and dedication, the dark clerics drawing on the power of their god while the fighters rally to take the Tertians apart. Aurost commands them, staying out of the immediate melee, his imposing scythe serving as a banner for his contingent. Many of the fighters still concentrate on Gildas, recognizing his prowess, and again nearly bringing him to his knees but for the healing power of Lockheart’s wand. Hopefully its power will last.
The Deathspeakers give token assaults on Wanderer and Lenny, most of their other forces concentrating on Wystfalrun, the man with the bone that has cut down so many. Two of the clerics focus their magic on him while another closes to fight him. He resists one of the spells, but the other penetrates his will, and suddenly the man is left blind. But Tyrano, ever-stoic, lets out no cry of alarm at this. He knows the stakes of this battle, and blind or not, he is resolved to fight. He takes one hit as the warriors attack him, the power of the bone making it little more than a scratch.
On the other front, the guardsmen continue to pummel the Deathspeakers in their way, receiving heavy resistance, but clearly beginning to prevail. Undead continue to pose a problem at their backs, and a sorcerer seems intent on bringing down the guards’ arcane support, but for the moment has only succeeded in keeping them busy.
If the Tertians can only last a while longer, they may not need to kill all the men before them; the guards will do it for them.
Curiously, one of the heavily armored warriors pauses, drawing back from the fence a bit as if he has suddenly forgotten what it was he was doing. But as he is not in immediate combat with anyone, this is quickly overlooked for more pressing matters.

Sayo-
[Welcome to the game, Yoggemothi! I hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd just throw you right into the action...]
Sayo has watched the Deathspeakers at work in the city of New Ravenshead for a while. At first she was content merely to wreak havoc on their operations, but it soon became clear that their operations were disturbingly widespread: ships at the harbor, clerics disguised as scholars at the prestigious Modrock University, and even men playing politician with the Council. She could tell something big was going on here, especially with all the searching for some ‘copper bone’ the servants of the so-called Master have been obsessed with.
Tonight, they moved on that search. From what Sayo could pick up, the Master’s clerics tracked down several men that have been disrupting their operations for a while, men that supposedly had one of these ‘copper bones’ themselves. Clearly their aims have been in line with Sayo’s own. It seemed prudent to investigate.
But now she has born witness to the dark clerics’ true aims: assaulting the Temple of St. Cuthbert. They went at it with impressive force, conjuring and raising undead, sparing no expense for what would surely be a slaughter. However, the defenders were alarmingly well-prepared, using traps and what scant divine magic they had left to defend; and of course the men that plagued the Deathspeakers, these Tertians, were no slouches either. Still, it seemed clear to Sayo that they were ultimately doomed.
But again, surprise. The trap was two-fold. Not only were the defenders prepared, but they must have enlisted the guards to watch the impending attack, now catching the Deathspeakers in an impressive pincer attack. The defenders used the counterattack to launch a charge on the scattered clerics, and Sayo quickly found the Tertians themselves assaulting the leader of the Master’s forces here, a man she has heard called Aurost.
Sayo tried possessing him once. It almost proved her end when the man caught her.
Now things are far more advantageous for an intervention. What seemed like a certain defeat for the Temple is now looking profitable, and here Aurost and his lieutenants sit, trapped between the host of the city guard and a ragtag band of foreign soldiers. The Fey would approve. And they would no-doubt insist that Sayo join the fun.
One plate-clad soldier stands off to the side, waiting to squish into the gate’s opening to battle guardsmen over his fallen brethren. Undamaged, near the action; he’ll do perfectly fine.
Sayo has no trouble overtaking the young warrior’s mind. Soon his body is hers, and everyone seems too preoccupied to care.
Perfect.
[My apologies for taking a bit of liberty with the narrative here; correct me where need be. Suffice to say you are now in the battle shown in the map above as the Green ‘F’. I’ll send a PM with the necessary physical stats and equipment. Consider yourself acting with the party, at the bottom of their initiative.]

[Gildas goes for a flank on I10. This would threaten from 4 opponents, so Gildas must make three tumble checks (DCs 15, 17, 19, and 21). He fails one of them. AoO vs. AC+4 (23): 25, hits. He takes 6 damage (down to 14). Attack on I10: 22, hit. 5d6+7 damage: 23 damage.
Lenny goes for the flank on M10: 23, hits. 19 damage.
Wystfalrun and Wanderer follow up their buddies. Wanderer does pathetic damage to I10; Wystfalrun tears down two guys (M10 and L11).
Deathspeakers retaliate. The clerics all cast spells, as does Aurost. Two of these are offensive, targeting Wystfalrun. He fails one save and is Blinded, but passes the other. Sorcerer readies an action. One fighter attacks Lenny: 21, hits. 5 damage. Two fighters attack Tyrano: one hit. 7 damage (4 after DR). One fighter attacks Wanderer: miss. Two fighters attack Gildas (one vs. AC 19, the other 20): 16 and 25, one hit. He takes another 9 damage (at 5 HP).
As before, Lockheart goes to heal the most injured (Gildas). He heals 20 damage (at 25).]
