SEA GREEN
[Alright Rojito, been a while. Let me know if you’re still in or not (I’ll take silence as ‘not’)]
Ella and Gro-bug launch into battle without delay, quickly laying into the Deathspeaker guards with dizzying blows. The two men reel from the attacks, and one gives up the battle entirely to turn on the giant bell next to him and start hammering it with the pommel of his sword. The resounding iron clang sounds throughout the small village—for whatever good it will do them in the chaos surrounding them. The other makes a small slash at Gro-bug, scoring a hit.
The barbarian responds to this insult by swinging Snaga to lop off his head—but misses his first clumsy strike. He aims better on the return swipe, the axe piercing the man’s armor with a screech of metal-on-metal to mingle with his death cry. Ella meanwhile stabs away at the man ringing the bell, jabbing him three times with her lance to finally bring him down.
(Combat Summary)
The hollow toll echoes through the air, but nobody seems to be rushing towards the group in the immediate area. The door into the long building now stands open. [I’m going to assume everyone goes in.]
Inside, the building is composed of a single, long room that matches the fairly primitive style of most of the village, although much of it has been updated to more familiar tastes. Temporary dividers have been fashioned out of wood to create sectioned off areas, some of which are filled with makeshift beds. Most of the room has been filled with the tools and devices one would expect from a small army of craftsmen, however—leatherworking, a few small anvils and crude forges, a jeweler’s table, and so forth.
The group’s arrival catches several people within the building off-guard. There are perhaps half a dozen men of various races—mostly human, but a dwarf and a couple of gnomes as well. They are not armored and are equipped only with tools to go along with their workman’s clothes. To the casual eye, these would seem to be the very picture of tradesmen. They look at one another in alarm as the heroes enter, careful to make no hostile moves—though more than one looks around and homes in on the any of the four small windows in the place.
“We’re not soldiers,” one of the humans quickly declares, carefully emptying his hands of a smith’s hammer lest it be construed a weapon. His eyes drift to the bloody weapons carried by Gro-bug and Ella. “No need for violence, we’ll do whatever you want.”
[Sense Motive checks. Ella thinks the men are genuine noncombatants with no reason to lie, and Gro-bug sees no cause or evidence for deceit either. Natsumi is trained enough in human behavior to feel perfectly certain that these men, while certainly not ‘friendly,’ have no intentions to start a fight and get themselves killed. All of them are what they seem to be: craftsmen. They want to flee, but aren’t going to try it if told not to, either.]

DARK RED
Gildas, Lenny, Sayo-
Gildas spots Tyrano fall and realizes the terrible implications this could have, the bone falling into the wrong hands. He shouts to Lockheart to help their fallen comrade, even while Lenny works his way quickly to the spot where Wystfalrun fell. The little rogue darts down to pick up the copper bone before the looming Deathspeakers can grab it for themselves.
The black-clad Deathspeakers aren’t at all happy to see this. They slash and swing at Lenny, trying to kill him before he can take the precious artifact; two of them strike true, but the damage isn’t enough to put the rogue down. He takes the bone in hand, feeling its magic warm him and make him feel stronger than ever before.
Wanderer sees the Deathspeaker phalanx starting to break-up, and though weary and weakened, he isn’t ready to give up. He steps in boldly to the middle of their formation and swings the Skullsplitter in a full circle, lashing out at every man around him—even Aurost himself. Unfortunately his movements are clumsier than usual and he only connects with one of the Deathspeakers. Still, he has gotten their attention.
Sayo, insulted by Aurost’s dismissal, decides to show the Deathspeaker commander just what she’s capable of. She taunts him, barely drawing more than a glance from his helmeted head—but he does a double-take when she drops her host body to the ground and telekinetically flings the weapons of some seven Deathspeakers at him—and the sorcerer beside him. Longswords and maces come free of the warriors’ hands, two of them crashing into Aurost enough to damage him, though the others sail wide or hit only armor. The big man bats away the Sorcerer as well, who tumbles to the ground from getting yanked around.
Aurost snarls and shouts a quick set of commands. The warriors at the gate struggle to re-equip themselves in the face of the guardsmen, coming up with little more than daggers as backup weapons. The guards renew their assault tenaciously, seeing an opportunity, and very nearly punch a hole through their defenses. It won’t be long now.
The other Deathspeakers continue to surround and split up the Tertians, trying to eliminate them systematically. With Tyrano down, the Deathspeakers around him continue to attack Lenny, who has filled his spot—and his function. One mace impacts with Lenny’s chest in a crushing blow while a sword almost skewers him, but the magic of the bone keeps the injuries from being quite as life-threatening as they would’ve been. Still, another solid hit like one of those and the rogue will join the man at his feet.
Three Deathspeakers surround Gildas as well, keeping him isolated from Lockheart and the others. The scout takes a pair of solid hits and he feels more blood rush from him. He’s can take a little more, but not much.
One cleric turns on Sayo, her host body on the ground. Without hesitation, he swings the mace down, catching the possessed fighter full in the face, crushing his head half in on itself. Sayo feels herself ejected from the dying body, left in that place halfway between material and ethereal.
Aurost sneers at her. “What other parlor tricks do you have? Show me while I kill this man.” He turns on Wanderer and sweeps his scythe at him. The first catch Wanderer from his ribs to his collar, but he manages to duck away from the second strike. Blood rushes down his chest and his battered armor, and the big Yexuhl struggles to stay up. He won’t last much longer. Aurost laughs, low and hollow, and prepares to finish the job.
Lockheart looks at his dying Tertian allies, momentarily unsure who to help. All of them are near death and in need of his help—but ultimately it is Lenny who holds the copper bone; besides, he’s the easiest one to reach. Lockheart hurries to Lenny’s back and tags him with the wand, sending a little more life into his battered body.

Gro-bug and Ella charge into battle. Ella gets to go first (nice init) and inflicts 3d6+5 (16) damage on one of them. Gro-bug deals 21. Both enemies are still standing, so they get to act.
The first rings the giant bell frantically. His buddy attacks… Gro-bug. Attack roll of 25 will hit. He does a whopping 5 damage (after DR). I’m going to speed this up and press on. Ella will attack the bell-ringer and Gro-bug continues after his dude. Both of Ella’s attacks hit and she deals a grand total of 17 damage. Squeeks bites but misses. Gro-bug misses for the first time that I remember (with a roll of a 3), but hits on the second strike for 22 damage and a killing blow. I’m sure the last dude is easily killed in the following round.]

(Not-So-Quick Summary)
[Gildas moves to H11 and attacks G10 (+12/+7): Nat 1 (does not fumble weapon) and 12; both miss. Wanderer does a surprise 5’ to J11 and makes a Whirlwind Attack. Vs. I11: 21, miss; Vs. J12: 18, miss; Vs. Aurost: 17, miss; Vs. K10: 25, hit for 10 damage; Vs. J10: 21, miss again. Boo, bad dice.
Lenny tumbles over to Tyrano’s square and picks up the copper bone. Unfortunately, rules dictate that the AoO comes before the act is completed, which means Lenny does not get the DR 3/-. It also means they don’t get to try Disarm attacks. Three attacks vs. AC 20: 13, 24, 20; two hits. 7 and 12; 19 damage total. Drops from 55 to 36 HP. You have the stats on the bone correct; Lenny’s Str now increases by +8 and he gains pretty much all of the 2-weapon feats. For wielding purposes, consider it a +1 Club
Sayo 5’ steps, goes prone, and telekinetically throws half the damn armory at Aurost, and the kitchen sink (or sorcerer, whichever). I don’t remember if she needs to use it defensively or not, but with a 35 on the check, she’s got no problems. There are Will Saves vs. DC 19 to resist: Amazingly, all of them fail. 8 attack rolls vs. Aurost, 1d8 damage each (except for the sorcerer who will deal 5 damage on successfully hitting; and take that much): 27, 25, 24, 14, 12, 18, 20, 13 (Sorcerer). 2 hits. Aurost takes 14 total damage.
Miraculously, Tyrano stabilizes.
Deathspeakers freak out. All of the ones East draw replacement weapons (read: daggers) and generally struggle to hold that line. Sorcerer spends the round getting back up and getting some distance from Sayo. One cleric goes after Sayo (bonus for prone): 27, hit. 9 damage, killing the host. Another clerics goes to summon more undead behind the guards.
The others go Tertian-hunting. Three surround Gildas and focus on him: 13, 23, 27; two hits. 6 and 7 damage; 13 total. The three around Lenny continue to attack him as well: 28 (threat), Nat. 20, and 17; two possible crits. Both confirm. 14 and 12 damage (after DR 3/-); 26 total. Lenny has 10 HP remaining. Aurost goes after Wanderer: 23, 16; one hit. 17 damage (after DR 2/-). He has 4 HP remaining.
Lockheart opts to heal Lenny for: 14 HP. Crappy rolls. He’s up to 24.]
