Taciturn walks through the dark and empty streets of Salem without much of an idea as to where she is heading. She had already passed by the run down home that she shared with her brother but she just kept on walking, clutching the small wooden box that she had taken from Thomas.
His question still echoes in her mind, pleading, what can he do to make this right.
"Give me back my child. Give me back my mother. Give me back every day of happiness you have taken from me and replaced with this lifetime of wrath," Tace mutters aloud through clenched teeth.
She realizes that she has stopped walking and stands facing the small yet imposing church.
Tace fights back a strong urge to throw the box that she holds through the painted glass window and instead flings open the front doors.
"WHERE ARE YOU?" she screams, her ire-filled voice ringing throughout the sanctified walls.
"IF YOU ARE HERE, SHOW YOURSELF,"
In a sense, Tace has not much of an idea who she is hoping will appear. Minister Carrington, Satan, God himself, but had she the knowledge of how to use a gun, she would have a bullet reserved for all three.

"I wonder if anyone will show up to save you this time." Minister Carrington emerges from the shadows, like a Leviathan creeping out of the darkness. His normally clean pressed appearance is disheveled and broken, it is clear he has been drinking heavily. He stands at the edge of the fading candle light of the small church, his powerful temple, the place where he ruled without fear of being challenged... until yesterday.
In one hand he holds a stoneware crock of liquor, his other hand is clenched into a tight fist. Even in the darkness in the church he still wears his broad brimmed hat. His eyes drift from the crock to the woman that has just barged into the church and then back to the crock...he wonders just which one of these is the lesser evil right now.
"Yes I've been drinking, do I smell like escape? Probably so..." He catches Tace looking at the crock.
But he makes no move he does not advance on the timid woman at his doorstep. Instead he leans against the glass cabinet reliquary and looks at her sternly and deadpan.
"Why are you here. ..?"

"speak of the devil and his horns appear,". Tace takes a few steps closer to see the drunk and disheveled minister in the fading candlelight.
"I'm here because I want to make a deal," Tace says.
"I know you dont have a kind word for any Sykes, but I know you thought well of my mother before she took that name, she told me as much and took me and Silence to hear every one of your sermons even though you would never look in our direction."
Tace's eyes begin to film with tears that do not spill down her cheeks. "The physician said she killed herself...you and I, we both know that my father killed my mother. She ain't never EVER touched a thing of poppa's, so there wasn't no way in hell she was gonna use HIS blade to slash her own wrists and throat."
Tace violently rubs the film from her eyes.
"I want you to kill Thomas like how you killed my father 14 years ago," Tace says, "and I'll get you that black box and your knife Old Hammond took from you."
Tace narrows her eyes and grips the box in her hands so tightly that she can feel the wood begin to splinter beneath her fingers.

(lol I love how this game is like the world's best improv. Whatever you say goes it's hilarious. Just for that I'm going to give Minister Carrington a space ray gun hahaha)
"It's a book, not a box." Of all the things the preacher could have said this one sets Tace back a bit. "The thing that Hammond took from me. Its not a box its a book a very important book." Carrington continues, wiping a bit of whiskey drooling from his mouth. "But that is irrelevant, I suppose what you want to know is that, yes, Tace, I will kill Thomas for you..."
The disheveled minister staggers forward, with a death grip on the crock in his hand. He studies himself and takes a seat on one of the old oak pews in the tiny church. It groans under his weight the bull of his heavy thoughts weighing down the aged wood. He lets his head slumped down his hat nearly touching his chest. He sit still and silent like this for nearly a minute the only found in the tiny church or his breathing and that of the woman watching him, hoping that they lion does not roar to life once again. She was rather liking the lamb....
"It's ironic I suppose..." The preacher finally speaks. "I was going to kill him anyway...that was always the plan...Thomas is so very important to Salem, to all of us..."
The Minister lets his last words trail to emphasize their importance. He lifts his head slowly and meets her gaze in the dark candle light of the church. For the first time this night his eyes seem alive and hopeful, something has given Carrington his second wind. Something had stoked the kiln in his chest.
"While your offer is very fair, I must tell you I don't need the book anymore. And certainly soon I will have no need for the money, so how did you intend to offer other payment?"
Tace relaxes the grip on the wooden box of money she absconded with earlier....how did the minister know?
"Thomas is not the only one to bury secrets in the woods of Salem..."
Blake Carrington licks his lips, a wry grin spreading from ear to ear.
The lion has returned...

Tace is on guard now, careful of her thoughts lest the preacher pry deeper.
"I could figure a way to keep the court out of our business. We wouldn't have to return and we'd be free to carry on as we please," Tace suggests. "Other than that,if you don't need the book any longer and if killing Thomas was your plan all along, you know all that I am and all that I have in this world. What could I offer that would suffice?"
---------------------------------------
(I'm not exactly sure when to call for dice for this scene or how it will turn good or bad for Tace, but I am looking forward to the next half of the game This is all very terrible for everyone and only gonna get worse. . . )

(Likewise,I can't wait for dice vote. Mine remains black. )
Preacher Carrington lets his eyes drift up and down Tace. It had been a long time since he'd felt the touch of a woman, even longer since he'd divulged in his more, base desires of control ....and pain. Here was this meek sheep in his home, offering all she was, all she could be - and that just for doing what he'd planned all along.
Perhaps fate had finally deemed fit to shine on Blake.
"You've done so much already, Tace...but it never hurts to sweeten the pot." .... Tace, it sounded strange and forced, a first name Carrington thought he'd never mutter.
He let his the back of his hands drift over her cheek, his fingers dropping lower, tugging gently at the dirty, lacey collar of her grey dress. She turned her head - in disgust or in submission - either way a turn on to Carrington.
The lion was getting hungry...time to kill...
(No fucking way I'm eating that witch cake, yuck. Lol lol let's take Thomas a cake then cut him like a pig! )

ok hopefully we can get this moving back on track to b done before end of December)
·-------------------
Tace watches Carrington's hands as she removes her bonnet, unkempt black ringlets escaping down her back.
She hated the minister, but she hated Thomas many times more. What could he have been thinking in that barn? Did he really expect that god would intervene, that god would even take a moments time to look upon Tace Sykes's bastard son with any mercy whatsoever. Thomas would have had to be mad to think that god would stay his hand or throw some swine in the barn for him to slay instead.
No, Tace knew that Thomas had done it on purpose, killed their son so that he and his English money and his English wife would be safe from any claims that Tace or her brother could bring against him. And it was all confirmed tonight when she caught him trying to flee.
"You will kill him, I have your word."
Tace grips the back of Carrington's neck and acquiesces as he draws her to him. She knew that this encounter would not be loving and gentle as it was with Thomas, but it seemed that god did not deem her deserving of these or any good things.
In a moment of quiet, footsteps can be heard outside of the church and Carrington's attention is split, but they soon fade away. The last of the candles flickers and dies as Tace's dress is moved aside. True to her name, she makes not a sound, but her eyes spill the hot tears of wrath.
---------
I'll give black die to Lin I guess. Yakumo still has to assign his black die from last scene too I think

[Fair enough. It is Act 1 Silence's Third Scene? Or Act 2 Silence's First Scene? Either way, Thomas is getting sexually assaulted in the dark church next. ]

Nooooo. You gonna scare away all the players. but I think now we are supposed to all roll the dice people gave us and the highest black and highest white get to pick from some list what the twist to the story is for the second half. Then apparently we can change the order of who goes when if we want. Gotta get more details from lin.
