[Not sure where everyone went...only 3 responses to the last 2 posts? I'll continue but I would like the others to at least chime in if possible.]
[Those in the tower]
{I think you're alone in there now. I have nothing else to add to your situation without action from you. Ascend? Leave tower? Rummage for more in detritus?}
[Those with the Lizard man]
The Lizard man continues to edge his way to the open rubble of the building. He does cast a glance back at Thorin and responds to his words. "Whatever it isssss, you ssssshould leave it buried New Worlder. Those that abandoned the Old World did ssssso for reasssson...in their exodussss they chosssse to forget it."
His grimy claws dig into the crumbling mortar at the edge of the building. It is here that he pauses one last time and issues this final word of warning.
"Know thisss New Worlderssss...not all in thisss Old World will harm you....but we can sssssee a future for the Old World...and you are not in it...do not try to sssstop ussss."
And with that, the Lizard man steps off into the foggy mire of the Old World. You lose sight of him quickly.

By now the others had reached the lizardman and surprised it, or not. In either case Bishops lack of stealth would no longer be a hinderance to them and with a final glance up the stairs he made his return to the group at a brisk pace, hoping that they had better success than he.

As the lizard leaves Richard steps out from his spot in the shadows. "I suppose it is good that we don't plan on staying in the Old World forever then, isn't it?"
He scans the room for anything else that might be of interest.

(You keep posting new threads so that I can't get bookmark notifications for the things. )In the tower: "Right. So this looks like a pretty nasty trap. Speakin' for myself, I'd prefer not to get cut in half today if I don't have to, so locating and disabling the mechanism seems like a sensible thing to do before we go in," says Terric. "That's Richard's area of expertise."

"Something for us to tackle as a group", notes Bishop, "it may not have been a trap, at least not a mechanical one. Observe the origin of the cut."
(the cut appeared to originate from the door if you missed the earlier post)

(When we move on back to the tower, Richard will take a closer look. I don't relish the idea of possibly getting cut in half.)

OOC: I bookmark each thread so that I can notice and respond to posts in a timely manner. But it takes me a while to notice new threads. Posting a note in the old thread that there is now a new thread would help me.
Thorin watches the lizard man go. "I don't get the impression that he's going to get others to attack us. OK, lets see how the others are doing in the tower."

(Sorry. If it's any consolation, I've actually been thinking about this campaign quite a lot. Bard problems.)
It's getting dark outside.
"Well, if we're going to pass the night here, we should check upstairs."
What cuts stone and steel?
After a quick trip to confer with those who noticed the lizardman, Wit trudges up the steps, into the darkness...

OOC: It's a different style of play. I'm not creating enough new threads in my game, which results in really big and hard to search threads
OOC2: As for the story, we split up to investigate both the tower and the lizard man watching us. The encounter with the lizard man was unexpectedly peaceful, the tower had a body on the stairs that was killed in a mysterious way. The group concluded that it was something outside that had done this, so we moved up to the second floor. There we're finding the room scorched and some interesting looking metal doors.
