"And then there were none..."
At one time there were many, And there was much joy to be found, But one day they were gone, All alone he sat there waiting,
Waiting for their return, The people he called friends, The people he trusted the most, Had vanished and left him alone like a ghost.
The years go by and yet still he hopes, Yet there he sits alone Until one day he is gone And then there were none
"Untitted1"
Although the winds may blow, And the season's pass, And the sun sets with a brilliant glow My heart shall forever love you in a way that none shall surpass,
When I needed someone to talk to you were there, When I was sad you were at my side, When I felt like there was nothing left for me you were aware, And for that you in my heart shall forever bide,
Like the roaring flames of fire, Like the power of the wave, Such is my desire, So is my love your slave,
My love for you shall never be undone, And underneath the moonlit night two become one

Very nicely done Artemis, and congratulations on being the first to bring poetry to KMan's...
I like this style of poetry, I'm not sure the term for it...(The four-verse lines) Maybe it's just called 'poetry'.
Are these song lyrics? Are you by chance a musician?

Mmm thank you kindly.
I am not much of a scholar when it comes to poetry so if there is a name for the style that I use then I don't know.
And no they aren't song lyrics it was an experimentation on a classic style of poetry that my friend introduced to me to. The Shakesperean sonnet. As for if I am a musician, well, no but I do enjoy playing my guitar except for the fact I'm not all that good. LOL

'When I felt like there was nothing left for me you was aware,' ? (should be 'were' ) 'Like the roaring flames of fire, Like the power of the wave, Such is my desire, So is my love your slave,' i liked this bit, flowed nicely, but on the whole it's not my kind of thing. although i have dabbled in writing song lyrics, but i've never shown them to anyone and they're quite personal to me. don't think i would post them. good though! have you read my stories? i welcome comments
