(Per request I decided to join the endless number of poetry populating these boards. Hope you enjoy.)
Dear Daddy
Dear Daddy did you know That you hurt me even so
You promised comfort, you promised love But what I got was sorrow and pain
Daddy…Daddy…I called your name But you sent me on my way
Dear Daddy did you know I loved you dearly even so
I sought your affection, I sought your praise But what I got was heartache and pain
Daddy…Daddy…I called your name But you turned the other way
Dear Daddy did you know All I want is you to know
Here I am, all grown up But you still don’t look much
Daddy…Daddy…I tried to call But this time I just could not
Dear Daddy did you know That you lost me ever so.

[Nodding to the superior talent of another]
I'm hoping you'll be gracing us with more of your work, Rayvynne.
