New vs. Old
A love I don’t understand
A loss I wish to avoid
Heartache and heartbreak
Combined into one
A man whom I know not
Another I know throughout
Uncertainty and stability
Combined into one
A mystery unknown
A case already solved
Excitement and comfort
Combined into one
A need of something more
A haven of consistency
Challenge and solution
Combined into one
A romance beyond belief
A friend forever more
Passion and consolation
Combined into one
A lover and a friend
A friend and once a lover
New and the old
Combined into one
A new beginning
An old ending
Forever different
But always as one
(Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I don't really write poetry, but at the time I was experiencing alot of emotions and found poetry to be the best way to express them.)
