This is not my work but I thought I would share it...
Keravnos and Astrape
by"~raistlin"
Sit down beside the fire
and I shall sing of ancient lore
drink this deep red wine
close your eyes now friend
and free your troubled thought
to the melody of my harp
Inside a blacksmith's burning furnace
the precious ore succumbed to heat
the humming tunes of hammer's beat
the air a breath of life that shapes us
Even in his dream the blacksmith sees
two shining deadly blades that whisper
our wrath a storm in deepest winter
we sing of death and violent deeds
And when he wakes his heart is pounding
slowly completing his last construction
we must be free to wreck destruction
throughout the village the blows are sounding
Inside the night the door bangs open
a shadow figure comes slowly inside
the blacksmith weeps and steps aside
the shadow folds yet seems to lengthen
Before his tearshod wide open eyes
the mage prepares to cast his spell
his voice resounds from pits of hell
with arms wide open these words he cries:
"Come storm,come lightning
come fearful wrath of figthing
Come thunder and come rain
tonight I bind with pain
With Death and Screams I weave my curse
Your blades with Winter's frost I bless
As Thunder now on dark sky builds
As Lightning blue strikes down on fields
Let your blades glow with pale blue light
their screams for blood molest the night
You shall be carved with nightmare's essence
The smell of blood will be your incense
The one who wields and feeds your lust
his soul will loose,to kill he must
forever cursed to take the lives
of friends and foes,of sons and wives
I die to blend my soul in thee
and my last words your names will be
-he screams in pain-
Keravnos and Astrape"
The spell complete, the curse is strong
the mage now gone, both flesh and mind
a whisper 's all that's left behind
let now the blades begin their song.."
And this my friend was how were made
the blades that caused eternal war
I see you cry,why bitter tears
I see your pain, come tell your fears
Leave now aside your shining swords
drink your wine and speak the words
just let me know of your torment..
