Hero, Newt, Garor, Caelith and Callian - The tide has come and you each do what you can.
Caelith - Planting your torch in the battlement, you cast your magic spell of protection and order your men to fire.
{Attack Rolls = 7 hits} {Damage Rolls = 7, 5, 4, 6, 2, 5, 7}
You see several figures drop in the rushing onslaught and a few others stumble...but it makes a small dent in a large juggernaut.
The captain of the guard follows suit, somewhat inspired by Callian's words. {Attack Rolls = 6 hits, 1 crit.} {Damage Rolls = 12, 4, 3, 8, 7, 5}
Again, a few more creatures are lost in the onslaught, but not enough for you to notice and they show no signs of slowing.
Hero - {Not Present, but can be directed to Help, Also looses her platoons' arrows.} Directs her troops to open fire. {Attack Rolls = 7 hits} {Damage Rolls = 7, 5, 2, 8, 5, 4, 3}
Stemming this onslaught would take an eternity at this pace...
Newt - {Listen check} You place your ear to the cold dirt wall and can hear nothing distinctive...but you can feel the ground itself rumble. You know the army is close to the walls, only a few more seconds now...
Garor - Your first spell goes off without a hitch, and your men stand ready, although they are visibly shaken as they see the army approach. The stand by their cauldrons of oil, ready to pour them over the walls at your command.
Callian - You men stand ready as well, inspired a bit more by your speech but still watching with fearful eyes as the onslaught spills from the forest.
{You have one more 'free' round before the army reaches the walls. Keep in mind that the army is approaching from all sides, so I need to know who is covering what angle or if you are all going to remain in the inner keep. For reference, the map is here. If I am forgetting anything, let me know.}
In the interest of not having the post look cluttered, I have updated the post to only reflect the number of successful attacks and their damage.

Krysta, Sehanine, Girud, Balin, Galdren and Romar - {Romar, you are led to dig, just like the others.}
You each being your digging, taking notice of those around you. You remember Mordrock speaking of over forty 'unliving' in this complex that dig constantly and you can see that you have about eight undead in your area. They move jerkingly, their bodies adjusting to moving after death.
You move even slower than them, hoping to conserve your strength for tonight...when you will try to break free of this soul-breaking prison.
You see a few other living workers in the room, all working much more diligently than you and seeming on the verge of collapsing at any moment.
{The break down is such by room;
A) Sehanine, two young children (boy & girl), 8 Undead
B) Girud, The older woman, 10 undead.
C) Galdren, two able bodied men, 8 undead.
D) Balin, three older men in forties, 10 undead.
E) Krysta and Romar, the younger couple, 12 undead.}
Those of you capable of listening in on the guards conversation hear litte of worth.
"You taste meat last night? It soured like it rot for while."
"What should we do about traitor in cage? I say break door down and kill him."
"No no, use hot pokers and burn his flesh!"
"Gax say we lucky cause we not have to go to fight tonight. They have plenty of solider to take small castle"
"Good, I hope we get some meat from kills."
"Yeah, but Gax always get his fair share first. He fat and lazy...we do all work."
"Maybe after we find crytsal here or in castle, we can go back to swamp?"
The conversations are crude at points but little can be gathered from them. The guards appear to be more concerned with their own selfish agendas to pay extreme attention to their catpives. Still, the fact that you saw more than twenty of the brutes on the way to the pits was disheartening.
Considering you still bear heavy wounds that cause you drag slightly...
