{First off, allow me to thank you all for such wonderfully played PCs...* * it brings a tear to my eyes to see such creativity. Yuri, well played, Udjat, well played...all well played.}
{Second, Sehanine, the dice may hate you, but I don't. }
{Sorry it took so long for this post people, I had craazy work this morning.}

Yuri - You can barely hear the hiss of air escape the womans lips in the form of a scream. As you drink deeply and feel her life blood flowing into your mouth, the scream is sucked back into her skull and you can feel her fear course through your veins. The woman, caught unaware of your intentions and puzzled by your actions had little to no time to react.
The sound of the blood you swallow...the life you drink has never felt so good. Your body ceases to shake and you suddenly find yourself filled with a warmth and pulse you never have felt before or doubt you ever will again.
As you finish drinking your first taste of innocence, you know that, deep inside, the hunger will constantly force you to the relentless pursuit of others like her...like your first. The voice in your head subsides as the the pulse of your victim overcomes your own stopping heart.
With the life of another, your own ends and you begin anew like a phoenix of the night...
Laying her down gently, feeling the last of her energy course through her as the spark within dies, you greedily lick your lips and ensure her wound is clean and concealed. The guards outside the cages notice your recent action and move over towards you, looking at you with puzzled expression through the bars.
A particularly vile kobold looks at you with his small reptilian face and motions with a clawed finger towards the dead woman.
"What you do to her? Hirsuthe said leave you alone wit her, but he not mention what you do to her..."
The kobold sneers, looking side to side at the others in the cages along the wall that recoil in fear.
"He said to let you out when you better...whatever that mean..."
"You want out?"
It obvious the kobold is more intent on getting to the still warm flesh of the fallen woman over your health and his directions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Krysta, Sehanine, Girud, Balin, Galdren and Romar - Drained and weakened, you bide your time patiently for the moment when the guards will fall alseep and Mordrock will make his way out of the cell and get the keys to the remainder of your cells...allowing you all to have the freedom you desire.
The grimy goblin answers your questions.
"Others went to watch battle take place. They not ordered to help, but wanted to get first chance at meat, jewels and women...They not take anything with them and they not be back before we leave."
Mordrock mentions when the time will be right.
"Only a few more hours till guards all get sleepy if nothing happens. Then Mordrock gets you all keys and we leave this place..."
Mordrock moves to the rear of his cell, snickering to himself over the devious designs of his own plans.
{I wanted to break here to see what Yuri will do.}
{Listen Checks all, Krysta, Romar and Galdren success}
Krysta, Romar and Galdren - You all hear some noises in the next alcove over. A weird, almost silenced yelp followed, a minute later, by the distinct reptilian hiss of a Kobold talking. You're unsure of what it means or the exact words being said, but you did pick up bits and pieces of it.
"...Hirsuthe....better...not...want..."
Enigmatic indeed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hero, Newt, Garor, Caelith and Callian - The sounds of the army beneath your walls are defeaning. Metal clangs against stone, wood cracks and breaks, fires spark with life and shoot embers into the night.
Newt - Moving from the keep after covering your tracks, you quickly cross the field hoping that the focus of all the warriors in the field is on the Freehold. {Taking 10's} You manage to reach the edge of the field unnoticed and {Spot Check} see that it is devoid of any movement or figures.
Apparently the army has more pressing matters than remaining in the trees.
Garor commands his group to stall for a moment, luring the force into a sense of security. They pause, allowing several goblins and even a few undead to near the walls and launch grappling hooks up to the ramparts. {Readied Action, North Front}
Caelith, with the commanding presence that only an elven noble can achieve, strides the length of the ramparts shouting commands at his men. Seeing the battering ram headed for the rear door, he shouts for his trained men to focus on that charge. {3 Hits out of 8 carriers, Damage Rolls = 4, 5, 2} The arrows do little to stop the onslaught of the ram and it continues to move towards the heavy oak. The other defenders under his reign loose their arrows. {1 hit, a critical. Damage Roll = 15} An orc, nearing the door with a wicked axe falls as the arrow pierces his gut.
{Caelith Attack Roll = 12} His personal arrow is loosed into a sea of chaos, lost for good.
Callian moves along the eastern wall directing his men to reject the ladders and hooks that land on the wall. {Readied action, East Front.}
North front - A group of well over fifty orcs charge towards the wall, each carrying a length of rope with a wicked looking grappling hook on it. The pause, just below the walls of the keep and toss their hooks into the air. {I'm not rolling 50 times, so I'll roll 5 times, each success = 10 hooks latched. 2 successes = 20 ropes latched.}
Readied action = Garor commands his troops to dump the boiling liquid down. {Ref. Save for all beneath in a 10ft. radius., (20 Checks, 12 failures) } Nearly every creature on a rope falls as their skin boils from the bones, only one undead creature managing to hang on, the rest fall to the ground. {Damage Roll for liquid = 25 Ref for 1/2} {There are 20 ropes hanging from the walls and the space beneath the ropes is cleared from the splash. Do what you need to clear them.}
East Front - A hoarde of creatures advances with crude ladders and ropes to match their numbers. {10 ladders, 30 ropes = 4 rolls. 2 success} Five of the ladders are leaned against the walls and ten ropes manage to find a solid hook to hang from.
Readied Action - Callin and his men take this moment to stride along and cut the ropes or push the ladders from the walls. {11 men = 11 rejected objects.} Only one ladder and four ropes remain on the wall as the hoarde begins to move up them. {Callian, you have four ropes and one ladder with monsters on them. It takes 2 rounds for a monster to climb them to the top.}
South Front - The orcs carrying the battering ram move forward, intent on maneuvering the device into the small alcove that was designed to protect the rear door. They disappear into the alcove and you hope that those behind the door can hold off the orcs and their ram long enough.
More goblins and kobolds advance with ropes and hooks. {40 ropes = 4 rolls. 1 success} Ten ropes land at various intervals along the ramparts as kobolds and goblins begin to scour the wall. {Remember 2 rounds to climb the walls. You have next round to repel them.}
West Front - The hoarde swarms against the stone wall like an ocean tide. Fifty soldiers move to set up ladders and cast ropes in an effort to scale the walls. {5 rolls, 2 successes.} Twenty of the horrid creatures land their devices and begin to scale the walls rapidly...
This battle is not going well...
{Initiative: Garor, Hero, North Front, Callian, South Front, Caelith, East and West Front.}

I hope this post made sense as you read it. It's harder than I thought to run an army advancing on the walls of a keep. Keep in mind a few things when getting the hopeless overtone of this post;
You are about a 1000 people in the keep.
You are faced with over 1,500 soldiers in the army. (15 to 1 ratio)
I dvided the army into four fronts for ease and also simplified rolls so I would not have to roll fity times on each front.
Each time a rope is rejected, it is destroyed. (cut)
If anyone has any issues with the battle rules I have developed in the few minutes I type this, please don't hesitate to let me know.
I have:
Callian on the East Front
I put Caelith on the South Front since he menioned battering ram.
I put Garor on the North front since he mentioned the boiling liquid over the main gate.
Whew..I'm sure I'm missing something, but I'm running four games at once here people.
{Second, Sehanine, the dice may hate you, but I don't. }
