What assumed stuff is going on for Hero and the Capt?
{Too right Udjat, as always. I will have the Captain here and since I skipped his last round, I will make up for that now. He will direct his men to cut the ropes for the hooks. 9 ropes remain with 9 monsters halfway up them on the West Front.
As for Hero, let's place her in the tunnel with the others to help get them out. Since the Duke and his son are nobility, they are down there as well. The Captain provides enough rank to keep order atop the walls.}
Do I know Hirsuthe is the vampire's name and can I hear that the sounds come from Yuri's cell exactly?
{No. You hear exactly what I typed below, the few words that make no sense in their order. You also do not know Hirsuthe's name. You're right, could become very important.}
OOC: how many can each man cut in a round?
{Due to chaos, darkness, thickness of the rope and the fact they are not near to each in even spaces, one a round.}
{If I'm missing anyone of any larger number of people that may help, please let me know!}
{And now, back to the action!!}

Yuri - The kobold looks disappointed as you spout your words to him. He looks to the fallen woman and licks his lips like a dog would, begging at a table.
"No. He said to only let you out if you wanted. He said nothing about others."
"You go or stay...they not matter."
The kobold looks to you with blinking beady eyes, its mind seeming to race with the possibility of such tender meat.
Perhaps it would be wise to either take his simple offer or remain the cell until you devise another plan.

Krysta, Sehanine, Girud, Balin, Galdren and Romar - Waiting for the guards to fall asleep seems to take an eternity. They drink and play their strange game, shouting at each other and fighting at apparent accusations of cheating.
Sehanine lays down which gives Mordrock cause to frown. The small goblin sits parallel to her form in his cell, watching her patiently. A smile graces his face in a form that seems no less than daydreaming.
It seems, at their current pace that the guards will have several hours to go before the acohol they imbibe overrides their ability to remain conscious.
Those of you that heard the noise from before lean closer to your bars in an effort to hear more of the potentially interesting conversation.
{Listen Checks, Romar, Krysta and Galdren.}
Krysta, Romar and Galdren - It seems as though the voices have lowered somewhat and you hear a new voice...distinctly familar yet different.
"She ... Leave her ... to haunt ....not. I ....along ...in arms. "
The kobolds voice can be barely heard.
"No. ....let ....out ... nothing ....others."
"You go ...matter."
A most puzzling conversation indeed.

Hero, Newt, Garor, Caelith and Callian -
Garor orders his men to cut the remainder of the ropes from his North side of the Freehold. His men frantically move along with him, cutting rope after rope until only nine remain hanging limply from the wall. Garor takes extra care to ensure the single rope with the undead is cut as the creature continues to climb so that it will fall to its second death. The body of the undead crumples as it falls into a useless heap below.
Hero directs the men in the tunnel to dig feverishly and simultaneously directs the men, the trained warriors behind her, to prepare for the battle beyond.
The captain removes his sword and directs his men to cut the remaining ropes on the West Front. {9 ropes left from 20, 9 actions taken and 9 REF saves, 4 failures.} You can hear the scream of several creatures as they fall to their death quickly. A few of the men on the front are anxious to cut more ropes or repel more intruders as they arrive.
The North front moves forward agains the wall, surging like a wave breaking against a dyke. Ropes are recoiled and more are thrown. {40 ropes coming = 4 rollls. 3 successes.} Taken back, Garor and his men are flooded by a wave of ropes that latch onto their wall. This makes a total of nearly forty ropes that have become secured on the wall. The hoarde begins to scurry up them.
{Spot Check, Garor}
Looking beyond the North front, Garor sees the last of the army trickling forward from the woods and spots something he really didn't want to see.
Three large ballistas are being pulled from the woods by teams of goblins and orcs, loaded with wicked looking barbed projectiles. It appears as though the hoard intends to pierce the wooden drawbridge door and forcefully pull it open.
Newt moves back to his cleverly concealed hole, taking extra time to not be noticed. He motions to those inside and the diggers resume their actions to widen the tunnel for all inside to be released. It will take but a moment longer to free all those inside. {Spot Check, Newt} Looking around, Newt does see several figures that would qualify as a leader of this horrible hoarde, but none seem to bear the rank of master and commander.
Callian orders some of his men to reject the intrusive objects as some of the creatures are already nearing the top. {Four ropes and one ladder. 5 of his men reject the intruders. 5 Ref. Saves, 2 failures.} As the ropes are cut, two of the kobolds crumple to a heap below the walls.
The South Front surges and you can hear the door below battered as the team of orcs that moved into the alcove are apparently battering it...hard. {DC to Break = 35 vs. Combined STR Roll of orcs = 18. The DC will decrease by 2 each round the door is not reinforced somehow.} You hear the wood splinter and crack, but it seems to hold for the moment.
The ten ropes that landed last round atop the ramparts wiggle and shake as their climbers move up them. You see several hands and hear gauntlets and armor clank against the stone ramparts. Despite the new arrivals, you catch a glimpse of the ropes moving again as more intruders move up them. {I will allow AoO's by the defenders against those moving into the keep.}
{AoO's, 3 successes, Caelith included. Damage Rolls = 3, 4, 7 [Caelith] } One golbin falls back off the wall as the remaining nine make it into the keep.
There are intruders in the keep...
Those ropes that failed last round are retracted and thrown again with vigor. {30 ropes, 3 rolls = 2 successes.} Another twenty ropes clang against the wall and move about as those tossing them allow the forces to move up them.
The South front is failing quickly.
{Caelith, last round 10 ropes landed as you were busy firing into the fray. The monsters climbed halfway up the 25 foot wall, and finished their trip this round to now be in the ramparts.
Your front has intruders, 9 of them. They act on the initiative of their front and keep in mind that your men must cut the ropes to prevent more intruders from coming. You have a total of 30 ropes on your walls.}
Caelith, faced with intruders on his wall must act quickly. The men fight the intruders with the arms they have present, taking their focus from the ropes on the walls. {Attack Rolls = 6 success [Caelith missed], Damage Rolls = 5, 9, 7, 3, 8, 4} Three of the goblins on the ramparts fall into the ground, lifeless.
There are still six active monsters left on the walls of the South front.
The West Front moves forward trying to get their devices to the walls. {4 rolls, 2 successes.} The captain of the guards yells for his men to repel the ten ropes and equal number of ladders that found their way to his ramparts.
The East front acts and fires the remainder of their items at the intended target wall. {3 rolls = 2 successes} Ten more ropes attach to the walls and the ladders are again placed against the stone ramparts.
The tide of battle is surging against you....
{Initiative: Garor, Hero, North Front, Callian, South Front, Caelith, East and West Front.}
{Hero and her people will have a large enough opening to escape next round.}

Intrusive Device Inventory:
North front:(Garor) 60 ropes total, 11 cut. 49 left and 39 attached to the walls this round.
South front:(Caelith) 40 ropes total, 40 left. 0 cut and 30 attached to the walls. Battering ram is also here.
West Front:(The Captain) 30 ropes + 20 ladders = 50 total, 10 ropes cut, 10 ladders rejected. 10 ropes and 10 ladders on the wall now.
East Front:(Callian) 10 ladders + 30 ropes = 40 total. 10 ropes cut, 1 ladder rejected. 10 ropes and 10 ladders on the wall now.
** - PS, I would recommend that you pull the ladders into the keep with opposing STR checks to ensure they cannot simply be re-used.
