{Being that Balin has decided to leave the boards, I will simply ignore the presence of his character. Perhaps he will offer to guard the prisoners or escort them back to Ravenshead. Whatever. Once this adventure is over, Balin will trek back to the dwarven capital. }

Yuri, Sehanine, Girud, Romar and Galdren -
Mordrock, reacting quickly for a goblin of his size, uses the recently aqcuired axe to chop at the orc guard standing over him.
"This for making me dig!!"
{Attack Roll = 10} Despite his best efforts, Mordrock clearly misses the broad trunk of a leg before him. Gulping the lump in his throat, Mordrock steps to the side.
Romar, with your proximity to the end of the hallway, you are the first to see what is coming your way. A cloaked figure enters carrying a bow of impressive length and design. Even from here you can see the bow is laced with a glittering metal and at least masterwork if not crafted with 'old-world' care. The figure is slender, draped in a cloak that conceals all features and sex.
Another cloaked figure slowly moves into the hallway following the first...then another...and another...and another...
As they fill the hallway, their are at least ten cloaked figures and more move outside the entrance. They stealthily creep down the hallway, bows pointed directly at your entire figure. You hold your breath, suspecting than in less than an instant, you could suffer the same fate as the orc guard at your feet.
{I'll assume you want to move back slightly to at least provde cover for yourself?}
Loosing an arrow towards the orc hovering over Mordrock, you wonder if the hostile group moving towards your area is here to help...or to clean. {Attack Roll = 25, crit confirm, success} {Damage Roll = 19} With a straight and true arrow, you catch the orc in the side of his head, slightly below the temple and send his body sprawling to the floor...lifeless. The body shivers and convulses spasmodically before going completely limp.
Mordrock smiles broadly as he realizes there are those in the world that care about his well-being.
The guards, responding to the call for arms by the now dead orc, are heard clattering and grabbing their weapons all throughout the tunnels. A few run past you to get to the entrance, thinking you're not a threat as Yuri made a deal with the Kobold.
{AoO's -
Krysta - {Has a bow currently, has not dropped it yet as it is not her initiative}
Girud - AoO = 18, Damage Roll = 15, Cleave = 12
Galdren - AoO = 16, Damage Roll = 13, Cleave = 19, Damage Roll = 8
Sehanine - AoO = 15, Damage Roll = 5
Yuri and Romar are in the edge of the tunnel and one holds a bow, the other has not specified weapons.}
As the guards rush through your area, Girud slices a kobold down the length of his back, bringing his sword down and up again as he tries to hit a passing goblin. The second attack fails, but the first struck the guard dead.
Galdren step forward and slices his katanna through the air as though the guard he delimbs were nothing and passes the blade into the chest of another orc. The first drops to the ground in pieces while the second stumbles to the ground nearly dead.
Even Sehanine, in her weakened state, manages to clip the bicep of a passing goblin, making it's attacking arm useless.
The guards seem confused and unable to react correctly. They lose their charging momentum having moved through a literal briar patch. A kobold screams into the air.
"Attacks on all sides! Betrayal! Regroup!"
Few listen to him in the confusion.
Krysta, now with targets clearly in her sights, looses an arrow at the screeching kobold. {Attack Roll = 25, Crit confirm roll, success} {Damage Roll = 12} The arror flies straight into the open mouth of the kobold, silencing him for eternity.
{OODM: Criticals... !}
Krysta drops her bow to the ground and shouts.
Romar, you sense a presence just around the corner you currently lean against. You can tell the group of intruders has moved up and now waits on the other side of the wall...for what you're not sure, but they lie in wait.
Girud steps forward to kill the goblin he missed earlier. {Attack Roll = 18} {Damage Roll = 9} The small creature crumples beneath the blade to a lifeless heap. {No more to attack + you already spent your AoO this round.}
Galdren also brings his blade around to attack those that made it past him. {Attack Roll = 10} The blade digs into the ground near a shaken kobold.
Sehanine, partially leaning on Mordrock moves to strike in her weakened state. {Attack Roll = 8} The blade drags along, barely swung with enough energy to do damage. Mordrock does all he can for his newfound love.
Yuri, leaning over Romar and peering around the corner, you see the same cloaked group but now they are in place to attack. Bows drawn tight and ready to loose their arrows into the enemy...whoever that may be. You can tell from their garb, their mannerisms and the pointed ears on the sides of their heads...they are elves. One seems to notice your investigation and moves his bow so that he stares down the arrow's shaft straight into your eyes. You withdraw quickly from your glimpse...but you're sure you saw a small design embroided in their cloaks.
Between the force moving into the complex and the exceedingly effective ambush, the remaining guards, less than ten in number throw their arms simultaneously into the air. A nearby goblin screams the surrender for all of them.
"Please!! We give up!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hero, Newt, Garor, Caelith and Callian -
Garor steps back to the tunnel recently dug as an exit out of this collapsing battle.
His men surround the hole and provide cover for those exiting. {Readied action}
Hero, having been instrumental in the lives saved so far, remains near the entrance of the tunnel and directs those to safety of the trees beyond.
She motions with a lithe hand towards the forest wall, praying silently that no innocent blood will be spilled.
The Captain moves his trained warriors into the tunnel. The Catpain stops as he passes Garor who bravely makes a stance at the tunnel-head.
"You're a brave soul...I'll ensure this does not go unrewarded."
That said, the Captain dissappears into the tunnel.
The North front of the hoarde sends more into the keep up the ropes and ladders that have no fear of being cut. Another dozen monsters scramble over the wall and move into the keep.
The ballistae strain and pull against the resistance of the door. {Opposed STR vs. DC 45 = 26} The drawbridge seems to be holding well, but it may collapse if the effort placed into tearing it free does not relax.
The North Front hoarde moves towards Garor and his men, readied for their approach. {Garor's Men, Readied Actions = 6 hits [Garor Included]. Damage Rolls = 5, 8, 6, 4, 7 [Garor] } Three out of the more then twenty attackers fall to the ground.
The monsters retaliate. {22 monsters, 13 successes. [Garor NOT included] Damage rolls = 6, 4, 5, 2, 7, 4, 3, 5, 6, 2, 4, 7, 3} Two of Garor's men drop to the ground dead, nearly every last one wounded by the charge. It appears that, at this rate, Garor will not be able to hold the tunnel much longer.
Callian, {Still Waiting on a response. If I don't hear from him, I'll assume withdraw.}
Newt, {Hide MS Checks, Newt} sneaking around unnoticed to the tunnel and to Hero, he poses a question.
{Still Waiting on Callian, Caelith and thusly I'll pause the South, and East Fronts.}
The West Front, devoid of the captain and his men as a block, surges more monsters into the wall. They will be upon those defending the tunnel shortly.
{Initiative: Garor, Hero, The Captain, North Front, Callian, Newt, South Front, Caelith, East and West Front.}
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Summary -
I've got Hero and Newt at the mouth of the tunnel. The innocents are safe and the Captain will be exiting shortly.
I've got Garor and eight of his men left at the tunnel mouth. All wonded save for Garor.
I've got Callian and Caelith still on the walls with most of their men.
[EDIT: Talked with Yuri, ammended actions]

Garor steps back to the tunnel recently dug as an exit out of this collapsing battle.
Hold on men, we need to buy the others some time to fall back, once they do we move!
Stick it to them men! They may have broken through walls but dammit we'll take a good part of them down with us!

Newt, {Hide MS Checks, Newt} sneaking around unnoticed to the tunnel and to Hero, he poses a question.
We may have lost this battle but I think I have found a way to send a message that we will not go down with out a fight. If we skirt around the battle field while the army is focused on the keep we can ambush the general and some of his officers. The army could do little to respond to a small group such as ours and the ensuing chaos my cover our retreat epically if the destruction of the keep goes to plan. Will you join me?
