{The horses and dogs of Boon's Freehold were brought with you all from the keep, so fear not. *No animals were harmed in the running of this adventure.* }

Garor, Newt, Hero, Callian and Caelith -
King Sturmguard looks over all of you with a sullen face. Although retaining his regal visage, you can tell his blood boils and every inch of him wants to scream in frustration. He settles for escorting those wounded and exhausted into the keep, even offering his horse to a young woman that looks to weak to ride.
The great king glances over.
"No...none of you have failed. It is I who have failed....trusting the lives of my subjects to my arrogant nephew who, in the past, has proven he can handle little beyond a formal dinner."
"You are all heroes as far as the records are concerned, and let your titles reflect as such. I will make you all honarary captains in the guards of Ravenshead. The lives you saved are enough...more than enough as in these dark times we all too often see our people simply give up."
King Sturmguard shoots a glance to the defeated Duke, trying to rally his spirit. The duke says little, only lowering his head and focusing on the ground before him.
Your sad tribe is led past the massive outer gates of the city into its heart. The inhabitants of Ravenshead line the streets in droves, used to seeing refugees but rarely in such number or shape. Children are ushered into the street with offers of bread loaves or water for the famished, and young maids quickly tend to wounds and offer cold cloth compresses.
King Sturmguard leads the way to the center of the city, to the steps of the massive castle itself. There, now embedded in stone, is the large chunk of crystal you remember seeing several days ago, before you left for Boon's Freehold. The king helps the wounded to touch the brightly shining cyrstal, its pearl glow glimmering in the sun.
Legs mend, wounds close and color returns to flesh as everyone is led to touch the strange, regerative crystal.
{You all can touch the crystal too. It heals as though a Cure Light Wounds once/round with Cure Disease etc as well.}
Once the entirety of the keep is healed, Sturmguard motions for the duke to head inside where he will meet him shortly. Before he leaves, he turns to you all and states simply.
"I'm pleased with your actions today. You've all gone far to prove that their is life left in this kingdom and it won't go down without a fight..."
"I believe we have a lead on another piece of this crystal...one larger than this. I do not know what two pieces of this artifact will do and I can ill afford to send out a full regiment of men, so I want you all to see if you can find it as the future of Ravenshead may depend on it."
"I will gather my diviners and ensure they have much more information this time than last...I should have that for you by dawn."
"As my new captains, are you interested?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri, Sehanine, Girud, Romar and Galdren -
Prince Irinys Treesong looks over you each, answering your questions emotionlessly.
"In times of war, a nation led by a fool is of great concern to me. Kng Sturmguard is a bumbling idiot who knows little of the powers he deals with...it will be his undoing."
"However, I am pleased you have chosen to help us search..."
Looking to Yuri.
"The Empire of Astoril can stand up to the master and much more...if enough pieces of the crystal are found. In fact, we will use it to erradicate 'The Master' when we are ready."
Irinys spits on the ground when he speaks of 'The Master'...a most un-noble thing to do.
"The crystal is psionic, is is arcane and it is clerical. Much power is contained within its confines."
The remainder of the elven forces that went deeper into the keep return. They nod to their prince and also look you over with a sense of disdain. Looking to Sehanine, Irinys answers.
"The crystal holds more power than we have ever seen...or that has ever been recorded in history. The oldest and wisest of our sages cannot find an end to its powers."
"If Sturmguard has one, it is most likely from a chance encounter, a bumbling trip over a piece of it in a field. He lacks the vision to see its true purpose. While we actively find more pieces and 'The Master' searches for more as well, that human, Sturmguard is probably just beginning to understand the force the crystal is."
The elven prince looks to Romar.
"The path is cleared...we should be able to avoid anything between here and Ephemiryl. Especially with our trackers that will guide us."
Irinys motions towards two stout elven women, clad head to toe in gear that masks them in a forest. You feel confident that they could easily lead you anywhere.
"As for the horse young master, I fear I have seen little. I do know that, just outside this cave, there is a large stain of blood on the ground, animal blood. There are tufts of brown fur and a large heart...of a corpse. I fear that an animal has suffered a strange fate as although lacking most of its blood and its heart...there are tracks leading off at a galloping pace from the scene."
"I do not know anymore..."
With Krysta's words, Irinys finally seems to liven up a bit.
"The woman has the right idea. The piece is somewhere here, in these caves. Let us find it and return to Ephemiryl."
"Are you with us?"
{Krysta -
A little ways down the alcoves, among the dead guards, there most certainly is a dead body of a human woman. However, she is dissected to nearly beyond recognition. (INT Check, Krysta) The body does not seem familiar to you and you feel that 'piecing' it back together would be a gruesome task.}

OOC - I am not sure, but she is sure to find the woman that cared for Yuri in pieces by now, and is sure to wonder why he is free, and the woman is dead...
