{Welcome back Jevva, glad to have you here.}
{Again, I'm floored by the role-playing here people.}

Garor, Newt, Hero, Callian, Caelith and Angelus - Camir watches the debate unfold quickly, head shaking over it all. He motions through the open gates and into the city beyond. You are led inside to a nearby structure that looks distinctly like a guard house. It is a squat, single-level structure with no windows.
Following him inside, you are led to room that is filled with a long table surrounded by chairs. Men from the watch sit in this room, taking a break from their duties. He barks an order and the men vacate the structure quickly, leaving only yourselves and him in the room. You feel confident speaking to him about your mission here. Before you can spout what it is you need, he address the concerns from before.
"I wish nothing more than to see the Ambassadors to Sturmguard expedited on their mission, but I have grave news."
You all hold your breath in anticipation of the young man's next words.
"There are no more boats in Morten."
With a number of quizzical glances, Camir address his statement quickly. It is amazing how well this young man carries himself in these hard times. He is a model leader for the future of tommorrow.
"Surely you have all heard of Final Shore? If not, I will tell you now."
"They have a plan to beat The Master, a sort of planned retreat if you will. They have collected and built many ships, enough to hold the entire Blackwing Kingdom. At the first sign of Ravenshead falling, or on orders from Sturmguard, they are to evacuate and find new lands with their ships...lands untainted by 'The Master'. "
"They requested the last of our ships to stockpile in their harbor and we graciously agreed...for one reason. We have developed a new method of travel that is much quicker than any boat could ever hope to go."
"A wizard here, once a miner and alchemist named Theld, theorized that all the veins of ore in the world are connected. Like a giant web of metal just beneath our feet. He came here, to the mining capital of Blackwing Kingdom to practice and finalize his theory."
"His theory was this; that one could 'ride' the veins of ore if transformed into a small particle of energy. He practiced with goods and supplies, eventualy trying the procedure himself. He spent decades mapping the veins of the earth. He calls it 'Vein-Riding'."
"Before you scoff, it works. He can travel anywhere in the world within seconds and can send anyone to far away destinations. The best part is, that it takes minimal energy and no magic on the part of the traveler because of a machine that Theld built. It sits here, in a building not too far from here."
As if to address your next question instantly, Camir goes on.
"However, it is broken. Not from misuse, but rather from theft. Theld is missing several key components from his machine. We have yet to locate them."
"In short Ambassadors, Morten is willing to help, but we lack the ships and our secondary method of travel, at the moment, is not functioning."
"I am sorry..."

Krysta, Girud and Galdren - {Anyone touching the crystal gains a +4 STR Bonus for the next hour. They do not stack.}
Irinys seems like an elf possessed. He directs people quickly and casts his own bow aside in an effort to free the crystal. After several hours of working diligently, filled with a strange and mysterious strength, the crystal is free from the ground and rests atop...a glass behemoth of strange origin and purpose.
Irinys looks around the room.
"Excellent work, all of you. You shall all be rewarded with the ability to stay in Ephemiryl, the elven paradise."
A low cheer errupts from the prisoners, once captive and now free to live out 'The good life'. Irinys motions to his sister, princess and also of noble blood. He orders her to prepare the spell for teleportation, and also asks that everyone join hands.
Within seconds, everyone has formed a circle of hands around the crystal shard and the elven prince smiles with pride.
"You will now witness how the elves travel. By magic..."
As if on cue, his sister begins to weave magic in the air, her hands moving about and pulling the fabric of alternate realities. Sparks of light begin to rain down from the stone ceiling, glimmering as they fall to the dirt below.
Then, with a sound much like a buzzing bee, the lights' falter and collapse, sparking into nothingness.
Irinys looks to his sister.
"Again..."
She does, and again, a minute later the magic falters. Irinys slams his fist on the crystal.
"Damn! I feared this would happen. The crystals are too powerful and unique to transfer by magic. We will have to move this in another fashion."
The freed prisoners sigh collectively, knowing that they have a long journey ahead of them.
"Does anyone have another idea of how to quickly transport this?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri, Romar and Sehanine - {Since the tangent break, grapple and what not, you have lost the surprise round. This round will be normal.}
Finishing the short debate, Sehanine acts quickly and bursts through the trees with her blades in hand. {Attack Roll = 14, [Only one cause you moved.] } {Damage Roll = 5} The orc shouts as the blade drives deep into his chest.
Orc 1 is wounded.
Romar, getting up and allowing Yuri to act, also bursts towards the vile creatures. {Attack Roll = 22, [Again, one attack cause you had to move.] } {Damage Roll = 9} The orc collapses to the ground, its breath no longer being drawn into its lungs.
Orc 2 is dead.
The orcs, aware of their attackers, spin and move to strike.
Orc 1 spins and hacks with his sword. {Attack Roll = 20} {Damage Roll = 7} The blade digs into the tender elf flesh.
Orc 3 moves to the ranger, driving a short spear before him. {Attack Roll = 18} {Damage Roll = 6} The tip of the blade digs into Romar's flesh.
Orc 4 moves to the elf, {Attack Roll = 6} missing horribly as he tries to hack away at her.
Orc 5 moves to flank Romar, bringing his handaxe up in a wicked fashion. {Attack Roll = 14} The blade swishes next to Romar's ears, barely missing the ranger.
Yuri peaks through the brush, concetrating his mental energy into a damaging force. {Ranged Touch Attack = 16} {Damage Roll = 6} With an explosion of fire from seemingly no source, Orc 1 bursts into flame.
Orc 1 is dead.
The dwarves, now aware of the occurences in the woods behind them, rise from the campfire with weapons drawn.
{Initiative: Sehanine, Romar, The orcs, Yuri and the Dwarves.}
