Hero and Garor - [Sense Motive Checks, Hero and Garor] To Both of you, it is clear the girl is lying. The eyes, the darting, nervous looks...all are strong indications that she is with holding information.
The young maiden shakes her head nervously. She takes a cautious step backwards and towards her master, the Dwarven head of Magmire.
"N-n-no. I was alone the whole n-n-night..."
Master Magmire studies you both. He furls his brow and places an arm across his servant's chest protectively.
"Are ye accusing already?"
"I warned ye about accusing her of taking the cogs from the machine. I'll be needing evidence Maura and her were even near Master Theld's"
Just as Master Magmire finishes his words, there is a knock at the door behind you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Newt - The boy looks at his hand and holds it up for you to see. There is a poorly bandaged cut around his palm.
"Oh this? I was cutting some potatoes for father's special farm potatoes and spice, and I slipped."
The boy offers to remove his bandage and show his hand if you wish. It appears that he's not afraid or ashamed of the cuts origin.
Angelus - {Still waiting on a response.}
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Caelith - The innkeeper absentmindedly continues to answer your questions.
"Yeah, Maura and Traylara are thicker than thieves I tell you. They spend all sorts of time together and it's usually at Master Magmire's estate. He has all the young girls from town up there at least once a month."
"He seems to run an orphanage for the homeless of the war up there...all girls though, never a boy among them and I've personally known a few that he's turned away. Jack, the bartender over at The Gold Vein, he takes care of a boy Master Magmire sent away from his door."
The innkeeper places a few more glasses on a shelf, not that they are clean.
"Speaking of Master Magmire, Theld and his machine, now that you mention it, Magmire was in here one night consuming the drink like only a dwarf can."
"He ranted and raved all through the night about what an 'upstart' that Theld was. 'Riding my veins through the earth...' was all Magmire could ramble about."
"Magmire, a mining legend in these parts, seemed to take quite a personal insult from Theld's device."
Callian - You knock on the door to the Magmire estate...there is no immediate answer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Krysta, Girud and Galdren -
{Higher DEX settles tied initiatives. I didn't mean to keep putting your name first as a deception.}
{And to answer #2....}
As you all take survey of the region before letting your guard down. You do take note that there are less boats than Mordrock anticipated. In fact, the goblin is even questioned about it.
Mordrock walks triumphantly to the docks where, clearly only four boats are moored and holds out his grimy hand.
"Right. As many fingers are on hand. Five."
It appears that Mordrock, cursed with lack of physique, is also cursed with a lack of brains to match. He looks back and recounts on his fingers as he points to each boat. He then slowly turns, head lowered in shame as he admits he was wrong.
"Only four...sorry."
{It was actually a typo on my part, but Mordrock can take the fall for me. }
Irinys waves a dismissal to the goblin, offering healing from his cohorts to those that request it. Before any healing takes place, he orders the refugees and most importantly, the crystal onto the boats.
"Everyone onto the boats! Take the crystal! Strap it down."
"Good, everyone, sit tight and we'll be underway shortly."
He motions to the warriors that cleared the glade for the refugees.
"You have done well, I shall see that you are rewarded in the capitol city of the elves."
The prince orders his healers to act. [9, 10, 7, 8 and 9. Take whatever you wish for healing.]
Before leaving the area, Mordrock is sent to procure new armor and weapons from his dead kin and Krysta performs a quick scan of the area.
[Search Check, Krysta] You find a small object tied around the wrist of one of the undead orcs. It is a gem, purple in color and dirtied from the existence on the dirty monster. It is beautiful and cut well, probably quite valuable.
Irinys orders everyone on the boats.
"Let's move people, this will be a two day journey."
The refugees are set, the crystal is secured...it's time to leave this place behind....
{Do you all want to be in the same boat? With a guard? With Irinys? Etc There are four, Irinyis is in with crystal.}
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sehanine, Yuri and Romar - {Yah! Back together!}
Marg casts his spell, washing his king in a pale blue light. The light sparks and washes over the dwarven king until it fades away like a dying campfire.
"There. That should buy ye a few hours at least."
"I'll stay here with Grandil in case something goes wrong but ye need to make your way into the castle and find that antidote."
Marg becomes paranoid as Yuri approaches from nowhere, stammering he continues.
"T-t-there be nothing else we need laddy...save time to heal. Find the antidote and return. We shall discuss on how to reclaim our castle after that."
"Oh and before ye go, ye may want to touch that crystal embedded in the rock. It grants ye some power to defend againt ye enemies."
You look to the crystal, in the center of the war-torn Dwarven hall. It does look as though it belongs with the piece you saw outside Sturmguard's castle in Ravenshead...but Marg said it would provide defense? The one in Ravenshead provided healing...
Could they be the SAME crystal?...
The doorman from earlier awaits with a small contigent of relatively healthy dwarves to open the doors and allow you into the occupied castle...

Krysta, Girud and Galdren -
1. If Girud is first ininitiative, why did Krysta always attack first in that last battle?

As you all take survey of the region before letting your guard down. You do take note that there are less boats than Mordrock anticipated. In fact, the goblin is even questioned about it.
"You said there were 5 boats. Where is the fifth?"
Mordrock walks triumphantly to the docks where, clearly only four boats are moored and holds out his grimy hand.
"Right. As many fingers are on hand. Five."
