{ ;D ;D ;D LOL...that's funny.} __________________________________________________________________________________________ Hero, Garor, Callian, Angelus, Caelith and Newt - Walking along, following Angelus, the city of Cannon's Foot falls away into the distance, the massive armaments of the city thankfully receding. You shudder to think of anyone attacking that city without less than a ten-thousand-man strong army. [Spot Checks, All] The woods seem relatively clear...actually, most unusually clear. There are no animals, no birds...even the insects themselves seem to be absent from this spot of forest. The trees mute the world around you, blocking your vision as you move forward, each of the lumber giants closing in with each step you take. The whole scene is somewhat unnerving and claustrophobic... Still, you came here with a job to do and that job must be completed. You trudge forth, deeper into the deciduous woods, keeping your eyes peeled. With a slight breeze, the trees sway and for a moment, you each catch a glimpse of a shimmering object in the distance. ...The shard... Nearly tripping over yourselves at a hurried pace, you make your way to towards the glimmer. Once you brush aside a low-hanging pine branch, you breath a slight sigh of relief. There, in the middle of a clearing about two hundred feet across, is a shard...casually resting half-buried in the ground. It is a pale, ghostly color...much different than the milky white color of the one at Ravenshead. In fact, if you did not know what you were looking at, you would have most likely walked directly past this crystal as it appears to be nothing more than a simple rock. The clearing looks empty, lacking any movement or shadows among the trees around it. The range of mountains poke up from the treeline beyond, casting a deep shadow over the glade as the sun continues its path in the sky. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Krysta, Girud and Galdren - The queen seems to grow impatient with all the planning and talks over action. She spits her next answers like only an angered noble can. "No, there is but one map."
"You will be allowed access to the stores and armoury, take what you need and what you believe you will need. Irinys will direct the guards to take you there before you exit the city."
"With regards to the markings, no, we have not dedicated much research to stopping it...aside from total anihilation of the body seem to prevent resurrection. Burning, acid...anything that renders the body useless seems to negate the mark."The Queens' face sours, becoming irritated. "I urge you to take action. Each second you delay means the crystal shards could slip through my...the hands of the Empire..."
"Leave now and travel with the speed of the gods."The Queen then turns her back on you and Irinys motions towards the elevator in the center of the room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yuri, Sehanine and Romar - Romar finishes up his task, striking the Derro on the head soundly to ensure he remains unconscious and using a length of silk rope to tie him up. [Use Rope Check, Romar = 23] A sturdy binding for certain. Ignorant of the vampire's feeding, Romar knocks on the massive stone doors in the manner indicated by the Dwarves earlier. Within a few minutes, you hear the heavy bar lifted and the door cracks open a few inches. Behind it, you see the face of Marg Rockhammer and several other, heavily armed yet anxious Dwarves. They appear to have been awaiting your return. "By Moradin's beard you're alive!...Tell me, did ye get the antidote?"__________________________________________________________________________________________

Caelith, upon spotting the crystal, takes a brief look around the vicinity, then walks right up to it. After a moment's hesitation, he touches it, interested in seeing what it does.
Then he turns to the others. "I don't suppose we'll be able to move through the ground with this one - Though if our belongings have travelled with us, it's worth a shot. In case it doesn't work, we'll need to find another way to transport it." He frowns, looking north. "We may have to visit that city after all."

Romar urges everyone to get to the safe side of the door so that the door may be sealed again. Once they have done so and Romar hears the sound of the heavy door being shut behind him, he gves a sigh of relieve.
Happy to know he is done with that mission and succeeded, Romar reveals what he has gathered and hopes it is an antidote, and that it will be enough. He looks a bit silly as he holds up what are essentially the remnants of what used to be a potion.
"I know it isn't much, but the interior on the other side of this door is a ravage and it was the only thing matching your description we could find on the location you gave us.
I hope it will be enough. In any case, we encountered some of your enemies there, and noticed their strange powers and almost hypnotic behaviour, probably coming from unusual gems layn in their foreheads. Because we thought any news would be of value to you, and one of their kind is sure to hold the most of that, we brought you one of the derro we encountered in a fight just on the other side of the door, and he is still alive so you may do with him as you please.
I hope it will all help. Let me just add that we must now hurry to ensure the king's survival. Just make sure this potion is what we hope it is."
Do any of us know when Sonnet will come back? It was not really a problem while still in that dungeon but as we are only with three players it might become one now that we're again progressing in the story.

Newt will start digging out the rest of the crystal as long as nothing bad happens as Caelith touches the shard he will touch it as well.

(OOC: Sadly, I don't think Sonnet is coming back for awhile , life has gotten to be pretty hectic for her lately. She said if KMan wants to pull her out of her campaigns, he can without any problems. I'm not gonna make any action until I know what happened to Sehanine, she is keeping Yuri corralled after all.)

OOC: in that case all I've got to say is: Kman if you were considering it (and you have the right to do so of course) I only plead for a bit of leniency in this case. Until this she's always been a good player and I'd hate her leaving as she's really part of the story of us three now... However it's up to you... (sorry for the ooc post)

Seeing the Queens irritation and her apparent regard for their quick departure, Krysta simply bows low and takes her leave. While heading for the elevator, she simply says, "A sound plan would ensure the crystals, and OUR safety. Heading into this quest unprepared quick prove dire for your....I mean the Empire's quest for this power."
With that being said, she follows the guards to the armoury and smithy, intent on checking their wares and taking note of what will aid them in this quest.
Afterwards, she makes her way back to the Knights, and asks the head knight, Adolfo, (I think that's his name) "We have pressing matters, and would like your council. We have been requested to take our leave and retreive 3 more of the crystals with which we came with. The Queen has granted us as much healing items as we can carry, the aid of the Elite Eight of the elven army, two of her finest scouts, and a few arcane magic users. We would like to see if you or some of your knights would like to assist in this quest to destroy the Master. If not, then wish us godspeed. But your advice will be taken to heart, should you offer any."
She will make a note to look for adequate armour and weaponry for the goblin as well, for I am sure that they will not leave him here on his own accord.

Angelus looks around and wonders how far away from this spot it was that his father was killed and maybe he could find the spot. He starts to move away from the group. "I'll be back. There is some personal business I need to handle." Search +4 Spot +1
Hero follows her prisoner. "We have chosen to leave you at liberty Requiem, but I will be coming with you. Should you need to relieve yourself, don't be embarrased on my account; I am a lady but I am also a soldier." He just shrugs and starts to move toward the vicinity of where the battle, according to his memory, was at.

Still questioning the Queen's motives Girud follows the party, his head cranking over possibile explanations for her behavior. It doesn't seem right for her to be that power hungry and quick tempered to people helping her cause.
Once clerr of the tower Girud will speak of how pretty it was and how great their magics were. At some point his rambling will take him around to the Queen. To the prince he will ask a subtle question. "Your mother seems like a very nice woman, and a strong Queen. A Queen must always do what is best for her kingdom, I do not think I could bbear that sort of pressure myself. I couldn't help but notice that she seemed a bit quick tempered, has she always been this way? It would be a terrible shame for her to be lost to this cause in such a time of need."
Well, hopefully subtle. Probably not.

Caelith glances up sharply at Angelus' words. He looks over at Hero - who is undoubtedly already thinking the same thing - and he nods in Reqiuem's direction.
Wouldn't want the prisoner escaping, after all.

Hmm, well, Galdren'll go to the armory and examine the various bastard swords they have that could be used as a katana. He'll also try to find any possible means of transportable healing, aka potions
