Newt and Garor - Just as one holding their breath must draw air again, all of Bazarkrak seems to explode in cheer when you speak the words;
However, just like a lung, the populace holds its breath again as you mutter the next few words;
King Grandil breaks the silence first, eyes betraying the hurt laying within. First he must rely on strangers to save his kingdom, next he faces a powerful exile that has pledged allegiance to another flag.
"By Moradin's Beard, ye cannot speak the truth now can ye Garor? Surely Sturmguard's hold on ye cannot be fast, has ye heart drifted so far from the mountain?" Grandil is struck with realization as he swallows yet another lump - the 'lump' that he exiled you in the first place. "Well then, let us brush this aside for now and simply welcome you back, Garor of Bazarkrak!"
The empahsis that Grandil places on your once-coveted title makes you cringe. Together, you and Newt are ushered into the grand entryway, a place you swore you'd never see again. Immediately, you take note of the surroundings.
It appears that Grandil was not exaggerating about 'Dire Times'.
Only about a fifth of the population can be seen here, but the blood and weapon scratches in the walls tell the King's tale much more vividly. There was a mighty battle in these halls, a battle that left many dead and fatherless. While the underground city seems to be recovering, there is a hole here that seems as though it will never be filled.
You become aware of Grandil placing an arm around both of you.
"Come, tell me of yer travels and let us drink to good fortune!"

Caelith and Callian - The beautiful woman returns the introduction.
"Well met, Caelith e'Quis'norai mar Ilduroth." The accent she places on your name leads you to believe she has spent more than her fair share around elves. "Though I lament that your visit could not have been at a worse time..."
She spins and walks towards the building with you.
"As you can see, the building seems to exist in two places at once - pulled from the very fabric of this plane with tremendous magical force. This was the resting place of Karn, a great warrior of light to which, one of our duties, we have sworn to see his body remains intact forever."
"Recently, in the middle of the day, a great negative energy swelled up like a tidal wave and pulled the tomb into the planes of Baator in its undertow...."
You drown out a bit, digging through the recesses of your mind for a reason. [Knowledge Planes Check, Caelith] You remember hearing about things like this. Buildings forcibly moved from one plane to another. It was a common tactic of powerful mages transcending the planes, but never with such a...unique side effect. Perhaps the crystal has something to do with keeping the building partially here?
You come back to Allessia explaining.
"We have gathered that this is not a normal occurence. Many mages has done just such a transport of their favored tower or home. However, we think the crystal may be keeping it here."
"We had no idea the crystal contained such power, as we treated it as an ornate stone - part of the tomb's decoration. Karn did not request the stone, but it was found with his body so they brought it here...eons ago."
"Imagine snapping a wishbone from a hunt..." Alessia motions with lithe hands. "You will always end up with two unequal pieces. Now imagine this tomb is a wishbone. Snap it in twain and pull it to the nine hells. The large portion is in the nine hells while the lesser portion - the ghostly remnant you see there - is the smaller portion."
"Quite a unique occurence..."
Allessia sighs a bit, chest heaving dramatically.
"I will admit Callian and Caelith e'Quis'norai mar Ilduroth, we are at a loss. As we deal with order and nature, this is beyond our powers."
"We have decided, after much deliberation, to seek the advice of Emirikol the Chaotic - a mage reputed to be wise in the order...of well, chaos."
Allessia smiles a bit at her own disorderly words.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hero, Krysta, Girud and Galdren - Moving into action, you spot the dragon near the rampart again grasp at the King and 'The Faceless Knight' with outstretched talons. [Attack Rolls = 28/23, 23] One claw rakes down Sturmguard's chest while the bite lands squarely about 'The Faceless Knights' mid-section. [Damage Rolls = 12, 19] The King seems unaffected while the Faceless Knight recoils in pain.
Sturmguard is scratched. (Down 23) The Faceless Knight is wounded. (Down 41) [From before people, prior to asking me to take a math class. ]
Mordrock takes to a statue, pulling his bow and loosing it as a Dragon flies overhead. [Attack Roll = Nat. 20, Crit. Confirm Success!] The arrow flies faster and more true than any of you could believe. (Myself included ) [Damage Roll = 7] Though a good shot, it merely manage to bounce off the Dragon's throat.
Dragon 2 is wounded. (Down 36)
Hero acts next, moving at her top speed to her liege and protector, high atop the rampart walls. She can get as close as the entrance to the guardhouse, but the door appears to be locked from the inside...not an uncommon practice for guardhouses at main gates, but inconvenient at this time. (Break DC 20)
Krysta follows suit, bringing her bow back and shooting an arrow. [Attack Rolls = 26/18] The first arrow hits the Dragon in the shoulder, spraying the already crimson scales with blood. [Damage Roll = 14] The dragon stumbles a bit, almost losing altitude and crashing, but a few powerful flaps and it lifts into the air again.
Dragon 2 is wounded. (Down 50)
Girud moves next, taking a few giant strides and firing. [Attack Roll = 22] The arrow lands in the Dragon's thigh. [Damage Roll = 12] With a howl and screech, the Dragon quickly loses altitude and collapses to the ground, nearly atop Girud, eyes burning with a hatred for those more skilled with a bow.
Dragon 2 is severly wounded. (Down 62)
The dragon, now on the ground, takes out it's pain on the nearest one with a bow, Girud. [Attack Rolls = Nat. 20, Crit Confirm Success, 23, Nat. 1] The bite is clumsily, off centered and nets a large portion of dirt. The claws however, land with horrible accuracy. [Damage Rolls = 13 (Crit. Freakin' 1's), 15]
Galdren acts next. [I'll assume a fired shot at the dragon on the ground while drawing weapons?] He pulls his bow and fires. [Attack Roll = 24] The bolt sails over Girud's head and lands in the gullet of the beast. [Damage Roll = 11]
Dragon 2 is severly wounded. (Down 73)
Sturmguard acts next, bringing his longsword down with surgical precision. [Attack Roll = 30] He lands a near killing blow, just above the dragon's ankle where it clasps a maiden. [Damage Roll = 23] The wyrm howls in pain, limping about on the rampart. He takes his other actions to free the young maiden, nearly spinning with her into the guardhouse.
[Hero, you can hear Sturmguard coming down the steps, bringing the girl to safety.]
The Faceless Knight acts next, nearly leaping on the Dragon's back with a spiked morningstar. [Attack Rolls = 23/17] The first attack lands. [Damage Roll = 12]
Dragon 1 is severly wounded. (Down 80)
[Initiative: Dragon 1, Mordock and Hero, Krysta, Girud, Dragon 2, Galdren and Sturmguard, The Faceless Knight.]

Aye the prospect of that would be most welcome indeed.
However, just like a lung, the populace holds its breath again as you mutter the next few words;
...he is aligned with King Sturmguard of Blackwing... as am I.
King Grandil breaks the silence first, eyes betraying the hurt laying within. First he must rely on strangers to save his kingdom, next he faces a powerful exile that has pledged allegiance to another flag.
