[Sorry about the no-post yesterday folks...got busy and not in the way I would like ]

Newt and Garor - King Grandil fumes even more, like a fire stoked with new and fresh air.
"Shouldn't the only concern of every Dwarf in Bazarkrak be the continuation of the empire? I'll not see it fall because the humans have an urge to die and no sense to go about it properly!!" The Dwarven noble crushes his knuckles into one palm. "I'll not be sending anything to Blackwing, especially not troops that I created and I control. If Sturmguard wants to fight now, then he can face his choices alone."
The King motions with a broad sweep of his hand.
"All of this...this grand mountain we call home, has survived for ages because of the choices the kings of the past have made. They chose their battles, they made their alliances...all at their time, not someone else's."
"Bazarkrak will join the war - nay, they will end it, but only when the army is done being built."
"Surely ye can understand this Garor."

Caelith and Callian - The ragged men pull and whine, their bedraggled faces starke remnants of what they might have once been. Once Callian takes a moment to cast a small spell, they become nearly giddy and crazed, leaping with joy and squealing with delight. [Callian, Will Save, Fail.] Once the spell is out, it's as though he lacks the power to cast another spell for the day, as though a tiny portion of his connection to the divine is severed...
[Callian, lose the ability to cast one spell of the highest level for today. It will return with rest.]
As the spell is absorbed by their taught and gaunt skin, you see that more of them nearby notice the effect and come galloping over.
Having had enough of this, you sink into the earth again, past the starved magic-suckers, past the strange, never-ending supply of chaotic steeds and to the base of the crystaline spire that holds up an iron fortress. There, at the base of the crystal spire is a single iron rod jutting out in plain view. Just as you reach for it, a twisted mouth appears in the crystal near you and booms in a high-pitched voice.
"Grasp and speak of the beauty of chaos..."
Then it goes silent.
Even from here, you can see the starved men coming this way, pleading and begging for a spell to be cast...

Hero, Krysta, Girud and Galdren - [Supply requests;
Girud = Boots (yes), Best greatsword = +1 Axiomatic Greatsword , sold by a dwarven soldier that lost his arm in a battle in the North.
Galdren = Best magical Bastard Sword = Flaming Bastard Sword of Ooze Bane, procured from the treasury and best short sword = +3 Defending Short sword, procured from an old fighter that can no longer serve in the army.
Krysta = Ring of Protection +2 (From a solider in the army who has taken rampart duty), +1 Frost longsword (personally on loan from 'The Faceless Knight'. He found it on a dead soldiers body in a field.
Mordrock = No bows. But there is a small shield of Spell Resistance (13) found on a goblin warrior during an attack.]
Procuring items from adventurers, from the treasury and even from other soldiers nets you all a few things you will certainly be able to use. They are loaned, or sold for letters of credit from Sturmguard and even just given for the greater good.
Once procured, it's back into the Bag and you all head back to Morten, to learn the secret of 'Vein-Riding'. Camir is pleased to see you all and happily escorts the new arrivals to see Theld, who remains as sour as ever.
"Ahh..the King wishes to take further advantage of my research...very well, he finances it after all. What do I know? I just created it? I created the ability to ride through the earth in seconds without magic..."
The machine is twirling and whirling, keeping the veins of the earth charged and transformed into roads that you can travel. Some of Sturmguard's more elite soldiers are here, taking advantage of the power that Theld's machine gives.
The ambassadors, of course, are given priority and allowed to head to the front of the line...
Theld ushers you all to a platform and disappears behind a podium. It takes but a moment for the knowledge to be transferred, teaching your subconscious mind the trick to riding through the web of ore that winds through all portions of the world. It leaves with the taste of dirt in your mouth and the strange feeling of disorientation. However, like you companions, you're certain the feeling will subside with more use.
Camir approaches after the effect and looks at all of you.
"How fairs the capital of Blackwing? Where are the ambassadors headed to next? How fairs Maura and the other children survivors?"
He appears teeming with anticipation for information.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Romar - Veya gasps visibly, before reaching back into the tent and withdrawing a short sword from a pile of furs. She moves to your side and looks over the little village with squinted eyes.
"I didn't want to trouble you Romar with such horrible thoughts, but lately certain women in town have been acting quite strange. They seem...colder...." Veya swallows a lump in her throat. "Only myself and the other bird riders have noticed it."
"It's as though half of the town had suddenly changed, and now you tell me the reason why."
She scans the women milling about the town with mistrustful eyes, scanning them for imperfections.
"No, I cannot tell one by looks alone. But I know that once changed...there is no release but destruction..." Veya moves her eyes to yours. "If you tell me to leave Romar, I will. I shall gather my fellow riders and we will take to the skies..."
"but not without you..."
You look out, [Spot Check] and notice that two women nearby are clearly pale and blue - vampires...
They don't seem to notice you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri - Kiera pouts, her fangs protruding slightly giving her an attractive, yet macabre appearance.
"Brotter the traitor? Hmmm..." She smiles a bit, leaning back onto a pile of furs in the center of the tent.
"I understand, but I yearn for the blood now...I don't want to wait. We should strike why our lust for blodd is still high..." She runs a finger down her chest, drawing you in sexually again. "If we dont'....how shall we pass the time until we strike?"
