{I think I've Delayed enough, I'm Ready to make this post.... }
[Girud, Healing from last round result = 15]
RE: Delay Vs. Ready. Japic + Wizard have it correct, and I will expand. If you delay, it usually means you act after an action, readying means you interrupt that action. I.E. - In Hero's case, she is delaying until after the demons approach. This means the demons get to move in, attack, and THEN she attacks, but she gets her full attack. If she were to ready for the demons' approach, then she would attack as soon as a trigger was met (closing to within 5ft for instance) and she would only get a standard action which is one attack.
In Girud's case, I'm actually guessing he wants to ready an action as Girud only gets one attack anyway and it would interrupt the flow of the fight. If he were to delay, the demon could come through an attack before Girud attacked.
Deny the enemy what you can ready today!!

Krysta, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, Hero, Caelith, Callian and Garor - It takes a but moment for you realize the unique-ness of the situation...in the bowels of a ship from hell, fighting demons.
A day ago, you would have never believed it...
Giurd acts first, holding his attack until a vile beast approaches, managing a few words;
Callian holds his attack as well, waiting until Caelith fires.
Garor casts his spell on himself, then takes a step and waits to heal others. [CLW = 14 (max!)]
Hero pauses, ready to slice as soon as the first vile demon approaches.
Just as to be expected, they charge. Like the crude beasts they seem to be, they rush the door in force, squeezing as fast as they can into the small space.
The first one steps through, with two arrows still sticking from his torso. [Girud, readied attack roll = 25, Damage Roll = 28 (They are Chaotic)] The blade neatly cleaves through the ape-demon's chest, spraying the entire hallway in blood. Like two sick loaves of morbid meat, the remainder of the demon falls limply in the hallway.
Bar-Lgura 1 is dead. (-16)
The next demon, just within his reach, has little time to retract before Girud cleaves into him. [Cleave Attack Roll = Nat. 20, Crit. Confirm = success] The blade rips through his head and neck, splitting it like an experienced logger would a block of wood. [Damage Roll = 42]
Bar-Lgura 2 is dead. (-12)
[That's the end of your great cleave streak. You may only make attacks against those you immediately threaten and only two can squeeze into the door at a time. I'll have you take a 5ft. step back at the end of the round to get into below formation.]
The third and fourth, behind their companions, enter the threshold of the door - but with caution. [Attack Rolls Vs. Girud = 7, 10] Their teeth gnash and gnarl, but cannot find meat to chew.
Hero acts now, meeting the threat with her blades. [Attack Rolls = Nat. 17, crit. confirm = success/22] Both attacks land, the first a devastating blow. [Damage Rolls = 25/7] The demon gurgles it's own ichor-blood and collapses, still clawing desperately for human flesh.
Bar-Lgura 3 is dying. (-5)
Krysta drops her bow and pulls her weapon, moving the hit the demons. [Attack Roll = 20] The blade hits, sparking fire and ash all over the hallway. [Damage Roll = 15]
Bar-Lgura 4 is wounded. (Down 15)
Mordrock takes his cue and looses an arrow. [Attack Roll = 21] [Damage Roll = 5] The arrow sticks into the nearest demon, making the sick thud of hitting meat.
Bar-Lgura 4 is severely wounded. (Down 20)
Caelith takes his shot, moving to where he needs to. [Attack Roll = 24 (20 if -4)] The arrow digs into the demon as it already staggers from pain. [Damage Roll = 16 (They are Chaotic)] The demon slumps against the door and falls into the room, the arrow jutting from its neck.
Bar-Lgura 4 is dead. (-6)
Callian then moves to positon, drawing his blade. [Delayed action taking effect, no enemies within reach though.]
And lastly, Galdren attacks. [I'll rule you can attack Bar-Lgura 5 in the doorway so you don't get hosed. Attack Roll = 20, damage roll = 12] The demon howls in pain and recoils from the strike.
Bar-Lgura 5 is wounded. (Down 12)
The battle rages on....

Yuri and Romar - Yuri lifts the stone from the altar, finding it amazingly hard to hold on to It has a slick ebony surface slippery and the weight seems tenfold what was expected.
Undaunted, he turns, sighs and takes the first step across the bridge. [It's 1d4 damage per 10ft, 100ft. Total damage = 10d4. No save because it's self-inflicted. I'll post the damage rolls seperately incase you drop at a certain point.]
[Damage Rolls = 2, 4, 1, 4, 3, 2, 4, 3, 2, 1 = 26 damage]
Each step is grueling, the dagger-like rocks shredding your boots and flesh to thin fibers of what they once were. Each step forces another shock of pain through your body and the rock only seems to weigh more with each footstep. You legs bleed, your load is a burden...
This "Hidden City" had better be worth it...
Once to the other side, you place the rock on the opposing pedestal. As soon as it touches the altar it splits in two and begins to spew sparkling fresh water from its interior. The writing beneath the altar begins to glow like it always does...
[glow=gold,1,300]The reward is great for the deeds of good.[/glow]
You look to Romar, still across the bridge, and wonder what else is in store in this strange place...
