Krysta, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, Hero, Caelith, Callian and Garor - Krysta presses through the fray, tumbling past the demon, stands between the two and rakes down the wounded one's back. [Attack Roll = Nat. 17, Crit. Confirm Fail.] The attack rips through its furred spine. [Damage Roll = 12] The Demon gurgles on blood and life-juice, collapsing to the floor.
Bar-Lgura 7 is dying. (-4)
She spins and rakes across the other demon. [Cleave Attack Roll = 23, Damage Roll = 8] The blade lands in the shoulder of the next one, forcing a howl from it.
Bar-Lgura 8 is wounded. (Down 8)
Caelith remains aloof and in the rear, allowing the others to finish the clean-up.
Girud takes a giant step forward and brings his blade down over his head. [Attack Roll = 25] It starts at the Demon's head and doesn't stop until about mid-torso. [Damage Roll = 23]
It staggers, holding its jaw together with bloodied hands, gasping for air before finally stumbling and falling backwards over the table nearby.
Bar-Lgura 8 is dying. (-1)
The room is clear, aside from the bodies littering the floor and the gruesome mess littering the table nearby. This appears to be a mess hall or gathering place of sorts for these demons.
There is a chest at the foot of a large pile of wood and furs, blood and feces are smeared about the walls in all manners of unholy symbols and the aft wall sports a snake-like tube...much like you saw earlier.
From the unopened doorway in the rear of the room, you hear more grunting and scraping...
...the preparation of an attack.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri and Romar - As Romar bends down and takes a drink from the split rock, his wounds begin to close as the healing energy flows through his system. [It acts as a Cure Light Wounds, so drink till full.] Though Yuri cannot partake in the glory that this small altar provides, it is more than ample to heal the ranger to normal...though his boots and clothing still suffer accordingly.
Pressing on, you find yourself trekking through a winding narrow passage, probably not more than a foot wide at sometimes. Eventually is does open up to a wide clearing, about a hundred feet across. A strange formation, but even stranger is the two caves to either side of the passage leading out of here.
To each side they sit, gaping maws of darkness that do not allow much sight, if any to penetrate their depths. They are about twenty feet tall and just as wide.
Nearby, as expected, there is a small plaque etched in the glowing angelic script.
[glow=gold,1,300]Bravery and courage in the face of any adversary is the sign of a true champion.[/glow]
You see nothing to indicate movement of figures in either cave. The smell of brimstone begins to waft slowly through the air.
