Krysta, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, Hero, Caelith, Callian and Garor - As the group forms about the doorway to, presumably, the next room, a few quick glances by Caelith reveals the following;
[Search Check + Spellcraft Check] A well-crafted battleaxe is partially buried beneath the pile of filth-crusted furs and is entirely usable and magic.
The chest at the foot of the bed is trapped.
[All relevant Knowledge Checks] The Bar-Lgura that once called this wretched place home are disgusting, near mindless creatures. They only obey commands from more powerful demons and show little to no restraint in combat, often recklessly throwing themselves into the fray. Which would probably account for their lack of battle prowess recently displayed.
Also, the Bar-Lgura are notoriously demonic. They will not hesitate to slay their own kin or other demons without a second thought. Ther ape-like forms are surprising durable, hence why they are a favored 'shock-trooper' in the armies of hell.
----
As you wait, you realize the noises from the other side of the door have subsided, nearly becoming inaudible. The door has not opened, nor have any attempts to open it been made.
Perhaps they lie in wait for you...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri and Romar - The darkest caves you have ever seen await you ahead. Each step towards their gaping maws feels just like that - prey headed straight into the jaws of the lion.
As you walk into the cave, it becomes immediately apparent that no light, magical or not, was meant to penetrate this cave. You fumble about, lacking any ability to see...even to the end of your nose.
Complete darkness....
The ground beneath you is rough rock, worn down from water over eons but not very smooth. More than once your hands rest on a slime-covered wall or stalagtite.
[Listen Checks, both Success] Then you hear it, the 'slooshing' sounds unique to something shuffling its way towards you....it sounds like a pile of mud or similar substance, nothing more, but its definitely getting closer...
[Essentially, you're both blinded. No DEX, 50% miss chance etc. Only Blindsight or similar ability will negate this effect.]
