Kysta, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, Caelith, Callian and Garor - Shuffling into the vessel, you all suddenly get a stark realization of what fish feel like before they are packed into a salted barrel. Ungurth, the strange invisible captain, moves and places a gloved hand on the door. He leans forward, masked mouth unmoving as he speaks.
"Emerikol arranged for help when you reach Coldsteel. An imp, named Nupperibo. He shall meet you when you land."
The strange effect of watching Ungurth speak without actually seeing anything move is unsettling.
"Since Emerikol gave you this vessel, it is now yours. We will be at your call, as transportation, whenever you desire it. Simply fast away from the sun while near a body of water on the prime and call the ship by name."
"Until you summon our services again..."[/i]
That said, Ungurth slams the metal door shut. There is some wrenching noises, some metal pinging, and then your are tossed about as the device is jerked into the air by unseen hands. It's moved, without time for your breath or heart to catch up, over the black waters of Styx and summarily dropped.
You wished you didn't have a stomach right now.
With the speed rivaling most diving hawks that seek prey, your little vessel screams into the black water. The light disappears and the ride is rocky. Not from the thick, dark water you fall through, but because there are so many things IN the water.
More than once you bump into huge scaled monstrosities, floating bits of bone and muscle...teeth, claws, talons...all manner of flesh-rending devices.
Despite all this, Mordrock can hardly contain his excitement. He hoots and hollers, keeping his little Goblin faced pressed to the glass like a child.
"WOOOHOOO!! Did you see that claw?! WOW! Look at all the bones! This coolest way to travel EVER!!"
You begin to scold, but your stomach - or rather the churning contents of it - prevent any words from spilling out.
Then...all it quiet...
You are still falling, you are still sinking into the darkness but there is nothing this deep. No demons in the inky depths gnashing at you - nothing but black, long forgotten memories swallowed by the river.
And then, after a minute of this, you hit something and stop. There are some strange noises of stone grinding on stone, glass shifting and metal pining. The black water washes away around you and you find yourselves staring out into a room apparently made of solid ice.
It is a lengthy room, well over a hundred feet long and half as wide. Near the East wall rests a battering ram and some barrel and boxes blockaded against a smashed stone wall. A door rests in the North wall, sealed shut.
From behind the barrels and boxes, a small figure flits on leathery wings into the strangely ambient light in the room. It's an imp, crimson-skinned and grinning wickedly.
"Are you the ones sent by Emerikol?"

Romar and Yuri - [Sense motive Check Yuri.] The demon seems genuine...at least as far you can guess.
The demon of shadow and blackness steps aside and points to the door of the temple. When you approach the temple and pull the overly large handle that should require all of your weight - it slides open as though it were made of air.
The interior is dark, but you can see that a tunnel heads inward and continues straight but also turns to the left and to the right.
