{I don't think I will be shutting down this campaign abruptly, no need to worry about that, it's just disheartening to lose so much so quickly it seems. Hero, Newt, Caelith, Callian...all gone within a month span. The remainder of you have been pretty solid, even you Jevva, and you're all fantastic players...truly. This has been super-fun for me to run, but I'm getting tired of making storyline excpetions on the fly.
For example, I began this stretch sending a group of 8 players into hell for a good epic fight and the salvation of a paladin's soul. Now I've got 4 players, mostly dead, and REALLY have to tone down the enemies in this adventure, otherwise I would end the campaign here and now. It seems far less epic now because it's so fragile of a party at this point.
You guys made it pretty clear you want to go on, and as a DM, I cater to that. I will continue. At any point, if you want to drop out, I request that you let me know and I will relay the plans I had for each of your PCs...that's right, you've all got storylines/plot twists! Anyways, enough of this crap, game on!}

Kysta, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, and Garor - With the 'Guardian' gone, your heartbeats finally begin to slow down and the stifling hot interior of the Bulette suddenly becomes more cramped than you're comfortable with. A few more seconds of waiting and you determine that the Guardian is indeed gone, returning to whatever hole it was that it crawled out of.
You could easily manuever this contraption over to the door leading to the Temple...and that sounds like a fine idea. You pull levers, throw switches and shuffle the plated body over to the door and happily throw open the hatch.
Along with the hiss from the door, the cold air rushes in and cools the sweat that has been forming on your skin. Coldsteel proves to be just that, cold, especially after your ride in the strangest device you have ever seen.
The door leading from this place seem safe enough, so much so that Nupperibo himself is the first to throw it open. He wraps tiny imp hands around the handle and pulls as hard his small wings will let him. It's clear he's just as anxious to be free of the Guardian's watch area just as much as the rest of you.
"Come on! The temple is just through here."
The instant the imp throws the door open, you are suddenly fooled into thinking you are back in that Bulette. The air is hot, like you expected hell to be, and strange sounds resonate down the tunnel.
You then realize...it's the sound of battle!
[You're at the door in the North wall of area 38 that leads to area 39 and 40. The sounds of battle come from area 39. Map is here.]
COUNTDOWN - 09:27 Hours to Apocalypse Clock Chime...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuri and Romar - Nothing less than shocked, Daniel's eyes widen to huge glassy orbs. He shakes the look and regains the dour expression he just had.
"I knew you would come to your senses about this..."
Daniel does follow you from the prison area, to the upper portion of the temple - but he does so at a good ten paces behind you.
Now that his secret is out, it appears Daniel can no longer trust either of you.
He says little as you walk past the stores, past the temples and the remainder of the prisons...it is only when you near the library where you first found this cur that Daniel speaks up again.
"Where are you headed?"
He stops the instant you show any sign of even nearing the temple exit.
"I'm not going to talk to that thing until we have a solid plan. I don't think it knows that its love is dead...and I'd rather prefer it continue to think that."
Daniel stops steadfast, at least a few dozen feet from the intersection that leads to the exterior of the temple. He crosses his arms and taps his foot impatiently.
