Krysta, Caelith, Girud, Mordrock, Galdren, and Garor -
Mordrock tries to match Krysta's fine display of archery. [Attack Rolls = Nat. 1, DEX Success/20] Instead he ends up looking more like a child with a toy as he splits one shaft and sends the other harmlessly into the lava.
Vorren readies himself once again, unable to strike the Demon from this distance. [Readied action]
Garor, using the powers of the divine, sends a bolt of holy energy striking at the demon. [Touch Attack Roll = Nat. 20, Spell Reistance = Success] The bolt lands straight and true, dead in the devil's chest. [Damage Roll = 23]
Brother Hingar joins in his paladin brothers, awaiting the devil and providing cover for the weaker spellcaster behind him. [Readied action]
Adelia removes her wand and grants the power of divine healing to Garor. [Cure Roll = 7] She then takes a step to the NorthWest, ready to aid any paladins....
Girud activates his boots, knowing full well that his bow is not mightier than his blade. The ceiling of this hellish temple is roughly thirty feet above and the devil is only twenty feet away, but near the surface of the boiling lava. He lifts to the ceiling and, using its surface, pushes himself out towards the center to fight the devil. [You're on the ceiling still, 5 feet away from the devil. He's 20 ft below you]
Galdren follows suit with the achers, knowing the paladins can easily provide the defense and it is their own honor to do so. He withdraws his bow and fires an arrow. [Attack Roll = 29, Damage Roll = 17] the shaft buries in the demon's shoulder.
The fiend, infuriated at the holy taunting of the warriors, flaps its mighty leathery wings and moves to the center of the ledge, reaching out for Brother Hingar. It flies around the floating giant as to avoid a strike with its blade.
The paladin was ready for it though...calling upon the holy powers that be, Brother Hingar unleashes a devastating blow to the devil, nearly severing one of its wings. [Readied attack]
The devil however, returns the fury speaking words so horrible and vile that you feel corrupt just listening to them. It lands a good solid scrape across Brother Hingar, drawing the paladin's blood in rivers. Brother Hingar stands proud though, waving off any help from others.
Michuth and Jannoch all move to flank the newly arrived combatant, as does Vorren who did not get a shot. Miraculously, they all miss their target but the creature is now certainly flanked and nearing death...but out of fury its sights are still set on the paladins...

Yuri and Romar - {Let's give this lead cleric a pic eh? And, again, you guys rock at role-playing. Very well done.}
The tribunal quiets when you both become visibly upset. They try in vain to sooth their words before the Ranger takes his leave.
"I am sorry Master Romar...we just assumed that when you arrived, it was the year you knew it. We could not have known the demon froze you for so long...we were surpised ourselves to learn of this.."
The word trail off as Romar takes a moment to leave and think of everything. Five years... The time loss is just astounding. You could swear it felt like minutes or less, not the better half of a decade.
This would explain the clerics snapping out of it and suddenly finding conversationalists gone, the streets emtpy - it's as though no time passed for them.
Curse that demon and all like him...
As Romar comes back in, the tribunal resumes, addressing Yuri's questions.
"I fear I can grant no good news of the war Master Yuri. 'The Master' has all but conquered every piece of land in the last five years alone."
"Our diviners are bringing updates as we speak, but the news is that all minor cities have been lost or cut off from their empires...Ravenshead, Ephemiryl, The Dune Palace - these are a few of the remaining cities that still stand, doing all they can to house refugees while fending off armies of the dead."
"The Master' still has left places like the Feathered Isle and other off-land cities alone....for now, but his forces do gather at coastlines as we speak."
The cleric clears his throat, leaning to a nearby cleric for more information - presumably an 'diviner'.
"If something is not done, 'The Master' will control and none are powerful enough to stop him." The cleric's eyes meet Romar's. "That is why your words struck at such a pace Romar. The Hidden City has been just that for too long. We have watched, fearing an upset in the balance if either side of our brethren were to get involved. But now, not even the followers of Wee-Jas can sit idle will so much life becomes unlife..."
The clerics quiet down, waiting for the headmasters next words as though they themselves will be historic.
"There is too much here, in the Hidden City for us too move en masse. However, we will spare as many diviners and faithful as we can to aid this effort humanity makes against the army of the dead."
"But we feel this is not enough..."
"This is why we are declaring the doors of The Hidden City open to all living that seek refuge. There will be no more trials, no more tests until this war is over. No man woman or child will be turned away if they seek our protection."
"The Master's troops however, will be hard pressed to reach this area without significant losses..."
You smile, knowing full well the power of the righteous can be devastating.
"We assumed you would want to leave as soon as you could, and to this end we have done all we can to prepare you. Supplies are arranged and will be given to your aid."
"Tell all that you see, young and old, that if they seek the protection - the Hidden City is theirs for the finding..."
The hallway errupts in a slight cheer as the clerics are finally filled with a sense of hope - a hope that their faith can be put to action. The cheer continues for a few minutes until it finally dies down when the lead cleric finally motions that he has more to say.
"This King of Ravenshead, Sturmguard. Our diviners have seen him to be a great man and to this man, we will send the contingents of faithful and clerics."
"Though we do not know of these 'crystals' of which you speak, for our strongest magics cannot locate them, we will nonetheless remain vigilant in our search for them."
The lead cleric looks solemn now.
"Masters Romar and Yuri, we lamment your losses, but hopefully our faith can be your guiding light...your hope in these dark times..."

Yuri - I was trying to get the acolyte to explain this earlier, but got rushed. The undying is the opposite of undead. Still immune criticals and what not, but instead of being negative focused, you are no positive focused. Sunlight no longer hurts you, you can be healed by divine magics instead of hurt. You will ring as good by paladins with Detect Evil etc. Essentially 'Good' undead. PM me if you have more questions.
