Telena stretches her legs out, taking advantage of the cool shade. If she weren't so large and muscled, she would perhaps be quite attractive...but there's something intimidating about her.
"It is not only a place to rest, but the reason our city survives. The Life-Giving Lake provides enough water for our whole town. No matter what we take out of it, it never reduces or diminishes...the supply is endless. The water is cool and refreshing, never salty or stagnant. On top of this, the Life-Giving Lake is alway bountiful in fish. We fish and fish, never running out."
"It is truly the reason for our survival..."
She gazes over the smooth surface, a wry smile absently spreading across her lips. She remains quiet for a minute or two, watching the lovers across the lake as they playfully flirt. Her words shift to the commanding tone again.
"The council has agreed to hear your plea and discuss the state of affairs with you when you are ready. Their chambers are directly beneath us, beneath the Life-Giving Lake."
She looks to you.
"When you are ready, we will go."

Moving down the hallway, your mind reeling from the number of doors you have found. Settling on the first visible one, you run across the hallway and prepare to open the door.
[Mordrock, Search Checks] The little Goblin shrugs his shoulders and says the door looks clear as you approach. Trusting his keen eye about as far as you could push this fortress, you lean an ear to the door.
[Listen Checks, no successes] Thinking there is nothing behind this door, you toss it open and peer inside.
The room is filled with strange rubbish...almost organic in nature. There are bones littered about, strange plants and fungus growing from the bones and even stranger plants hanging from the ceiling. Despite all the fauna, the room is eerily cold.
[Spot Checks Vs. Hide Checks. Yuri, Mordrock, Girud, and Galdren successes] Those of you that can see it, notice a figure hunched beneath the bones, lying in wait for an attack. Twisted and coiled, you imagine the creature is over eight feet tall at its full height. It is like a skinny human, the leathery skin stretched tight over a frail bony frame. However, coiling up from the creatures' tailbone is a scorpion-like tail stinger.
The creature lunges!
