Romar -
[Knowledge, Geography Check] From your best estimates, you could assume that it would take at least of week of travel...if not more. It's difficult for you to guess though, not being overly experienced in the desert and its hazards.
Grasping the amulet about your neck, you speak the name of the capital Elven city softly. The world melts, twists and reforms almost instantly, leaving you feeling like you have just been heaved through time by a giant.
When you come to, you are in the same courtyard that you were found in with the other prisoners from Ravenshead dungeon...perhaps this is some kind of 'receiving' area for transportees? Within minutes, Irinys is summoned, alerted to your presence.
He strides across the courtyard and stand before you, his smile spread nearly from ear to ear.
"Welcome back...I trust you have the information we need?"

All but Romar -
Mordrock looses two arrows at the beast. [Attack Rolls vs. cover = 24/18] Through the hulking form of Girud, the small Goblin cannot get his shots through. He then takes a step back as well, getting a better shot next round.
Krysta moves to gain a clear shot and fires. [Attack Roll = Nat 20, Crit Confirm = fail] The arrow strikes deep into the flanks, wounding the beast and nearly ripping its hamstrings. [Damage Roll = 11]
Alton moves slightly faster than the poisoned Galdren. He positions himself and takes a shot. [Attack Roll = 23] The arrow barely bounces off one of the many tentacles, doing no damage.
Galdren lays into the beast quickly, expertly moving his swords in tandem. [Attack Rolls = 21/18/23] Unfortunately, the lithe panther-beast proves to be too quick and avoids all the blows.
The hound, now based by the meat it so fanatically desires, reaches out for Galdren and Girud, dividing it attacks. [Attack Rolls Vs. Galdren (2 Tents) = 28/21, Damage Roll = 6] One tentacle slaps across Galdren's face, leaving a red streak of welts. [Bite and Claw Rake Vs. Girud = 27, Nat 1/17] The bite is the only thing to strike Girud. [Damage Roll = 15] It leaves a fine puncture mark in his forearm.
Girud returns the attack, driving his mace downward. [Attack Rolls = 35/20] The first blow lands, nearly knocking the creature clean off the ceiling. [Damage Roll = 25] It howls...knowing Girud is the cause of most of its pain.
Yuri produces a bizarre wand and aims it, releasing the energy held within. [Ranged Touch = 17, 6 Fire Damage] It does little compared to the Half-Giant, but every bit counts.
Garor moves in, trying to distract the beast. [AoO = 22, Damage Roll = 5] The tentacle rakes Garor, leaving the stinging poison in his veins. [Fort Save = Success] The Dwarf shakes the effects and brings his maul down for a blow. [Attack Roll = 30, Damage Roll = 10]
Adelia holds off, waiting to see who is wounded...
The battle goes on.

Edit: and I'd like to make an estimation of the time it'll take to travel to the coast based on my knowledge (geography) +1. To be more specific than 'the coast'; I want the people to go to the tiny peninsula southwest of the Dune Palace, where the hills are on the map, "cus that's where the ships'll be".
