The thing slowly begins to wriggle leathery fingers and it head once free of the ice that grips its body. As the desert sun moves every slowly into the sky, the ice continues to melt and the creature gets closer and closer to being free.
{3 rounds left until free}
It's cold blue eyes squint and what little skin left about its jaws twists into a slight smile.
"Servant? Only the most vile and morally bankrupt of gods would be pleased to have you as a servant Romar..."
The thing rotates its sickly head about in a circle, ridding itself of the effects of being frozen.
"Who I am is very important to you Romar, but not as important as who I have become... I was like you, human, or what passed for one, until I began to make selfish choices."
"Those same selfish choices led me down one path after another. Each path may have looked different, but all led to this point...to this pain."
As though to emphasize, the creature again twists its leathery and skeletal neck about. You can clearly hear the joints grinding painfully--this creature's existence must be absolute pain...
"It is my curse to wander the Earth, seeking heat from the lands because I have taken so much. And you will be like me Romar Belamor... "
"There are dark forces that whisper of your deeds with glee. They speak of how you abandoned the human bitch that once carried your love. Of how you struck down her honorable lover...and of how you turned your back on king and country for personal gain. The deed they speak most of is how you will have single-handedly given the world over to forces that would destroy it..."
"The pointed earred ones that seek to lash out with forces they do not understand..."
The thing throws its head backs and cackles loudly, a horrid wilted set of lungs producing a disgusting wheezing noise like a dying bellowscramp.
"Because you have sought vengeance, they will have gain. Because you have proven traitorous, they will succeed..."
"It is your name the devils will sing when they dance in the ashes of this world that will no longer be...""
The thing throws it's rotted head back for another round of laughter.

Those in the Fortress -
Adelia/Krysta - Detect Magic does indeed reveal the Darkness in effect here. But it does not reveal much else. The creature that once pestered you must either be naturally invisible or entirely absent all together. It has yet to bother you, so perhaps it is gone?
Rest - Searching around in the dark proves to be rather fruitless. Girud and Alton can find nothing aside from the occasional misshaped stone block or abnormal pillar. The remainder of you searching also find similar things...none of it making sense or leading you to where you need to be...
[Miss Chances = Success] However, Yuri and Galdren do find something of interest. In the wall opposite where you entered from...almost directly beneath the doorway into this room...is another secret door. It is much like the other one, several feet to a side and well-concealed, even in this darkness.
{You can either; Climb out and return the way you came, take this new secret tunnel/doorway...or you can return to the throne room.}
