Using your blessings, you are able to keep cool and refreshed during the scorching desert day. The sun beats down, the winds blow hot and hard...but none of it is as bad as Duke Grambles incessant ramblings and picking at your very being...

Duke Gramble breaks into one of his laughing fits once again, nearly uncontrollable. Several times his feet slip in the sand and he almost collapses...and at times, you wish the sand would just swallow him up.
Night cannot come quick enough, but it does. As the sun begins to falter in the evening sky, Duke Gramble begins to slow. His leathery skin begins to frost before the sun is even low in the sky and when it reaches the horizon, exploding in a million hues of orange and red, the Duke finally stops moving.
Thank the gods...
From the bottom of his wrinkled feet to the top of his bald head and ice-blue eyes, the Duke gets coated in ice. Like you watched last night, his body freezes in a matter of minutes and soon he is encased in ice.
Finally...some silence.

As you begin to make camp, you look about to each horizon, looking for potential dangers. While there is nothing in the immediate area, something does catch your eye far to the South and East.
It is as though the sun has begun to rise again...this time from the South--where it should not be. The whole horizon is lit up with a soft glow. You imagine that if all the people in the world held up a candle to the skies, it might look something like this. And that color of orange...it looks very similar to the amber tower where you met the Queen...
...
...it hits you. Could this be the work of the Elves of Astoril? Could the Queen have gotten her last shard and finished her weapon? Did Callian and Caelith fail?

Keeping his distance from the horrid flesh monster, Yuri manifest his power a bit wiser this time. [Cast Defensively Concentration Check = 33, Success] With expert weaving and focus, Yuri gets his mental barrier up and proves to be a difficult target for the golem.
Returning from alerting the comrades outside, Adelia rounds the corner to come upon the combat.
The golem swings at Yuri, unaware of the mental barrier. [Need a 20 to hit]

{And doesn't get it.} The golem feebily slams its fist into the floor, it body still working in slow-motion. It bemoans the miss and reaches for you once again...
