Romar -
The bird turns its gaze back to the ground below, not entirely sure what you're speaking of. It circles, pulling tighter and tighter circles until it begins to descend at a steady pace. Soon you feel the strange weightlessness of Avyant's wings buffeting the ground and finally a stop to all motion. You look around, wondering just where this Hidden City has gone to....it was here.
Slipping from the bird's back, you are jolted by the sudden appearance of the city as if from nothing. Of course... the Hidden City must remain hidden, even from those that have been here before and are returning with companions. Whenever you are in contact with the great bird, the city vanishes from your eyes. When you release his great feathers, it returns quickly, like emerging from a fog bank.
Avyant will have to endure his own trials to enter the city...or perhaps someone of power inside will grant him santuary.
You leave the great bird behind and move towards the city gates, those same gates that lay beneath the archway of the gods. Neutral at the top, evil to the left, good to the right. Beyond, this gate, you can see the city sprawling out in all its splendor before you; the glittering rooftops, the massive basilicas and temples to each god of the planes...magnificent once more.
Of course, next to the gates is the fountain you remember so fondly, found when you and Yuri first came to this place. The plaque beneath it still reads;
"Welcome seekers of the hidden city.
Drink deeply of the cleansing waters and know that the universe, in its infinite law, is all around you."
The Iron gates are currently pulled closed, but a good shove or a sound knocking on the iron ring should change that. You can hear voices and movement, that of a city full of people behind the gates.
At least this time they are not frozen in time...

All Others -
Adolpho nods.
"I will seek what treasures Ravenshead has to offers its heroes in this endeavour. As soon as you collect yourselves and your gear, meet me at the step before the castle, I will see what we can gather to help subdue the queen and negate her magic." He looks to all of you next. "I know the methods of travel you are accustomed to may seem powerful, the queen is not ignorant. She has surely taken precautions against them. Normally I would suggest trying it anyways, but I do not doubt the Queen has made such attempts lethal...do not ask me how for I am not a mage, but surely her wicked mind has thought of something."
"I will see you on the castle steps after you feed the gob...Elf."
Adolpho goes to leave and Mordrock begins to lick his chops, ready to devour his first meal in this new body. Adolpho reaches the door and pauses, looking over his shoulder to Krysta. He indicates he would like her to follow him and then exits into the hallway.
[Assuming Krysta follows]
Krysta -
Adolpho meets you outside and pulls the door shut so that your conversation is private. His face becomes grim and fatherly.
"Krysta. I know you wanted to become a Knight of the Purest Star and you have proven yourself beyond that title as of late. This assault on the Queen of Astoril to protect the innocent only further my belief that you truly belong amongst our ranks." The aged knight withdraws his longsword from its scabbard and lays it across his forearms. He holds it forward.
"Here. I will not be going with you and my job should not require a blade. It has served my family well and I would be honored if you carried it into battle..."
The Knight lowers his head and awaits you taking his blade.
{Just wanted to give you guys the last chance to suit up/make requests before going on your mission.}
[Krysta - Adolpho's Family blade is a +2 Keen Holy Longsword of Flaming Burst...and he'll want that back. ]
