1 - The Beggining of the End - 002

You don't have to look for your attackers, they rush to you. Men and women, elves, dwarves and halflings.

Abbarehetta fires his crossbow (16 + 6 = 22 [hit], 1 damage) and the bolt scratches the Rebel's (R6) arm.

The rebbel he shot (R6) runs at him waving his longsword.

The other rebbel, who was runnig next to the one Abba shot, swings his sword at him (19 + 2 = 21 [hit] confirm crit: 1 + 2 = 3, 3 damage) the blade lends into his shoulder, making a horrible *squish*.

A dwarf runs to Marta ready with his battle axe.

Kenji jumps infront of a rebel that runs next to him, but slips on the snow and falls on his back. (Natural 1. Sorry)

Muradin runs to the rebbel who wounded Abba, slaming his Great Axe wildy into the rebbel's chest, sending him flying into the white snow. (17 + 8 = 25 [hit], 12 damage) The rebbel never gets up again.

Another rebbel comes from the other side of Koth and Marya's wagon, ready to attack.

Koth quickly draws his sword, stabbing the rebbel deep in his gut. (19 + 7 = 26 [hit], 4 damage)

An elf stops behind Kenji, and starts chanting. A purple ball of light appears in his hands, and he directs it to the Samurai. (Will 4 + 2 = 6 [fail]) A sudden fear takes over Kenji, the pitiful rebels now appear mighty, and terrifing, his heart beats so fast he can hear it pounding in his head. All he can think of is to run!

The young woman, still taking comfort in her cloak and hood, closes her precious book and puts it away. Then, still in her spot, she lifts her hands and coaxes the magic out of the fabric of reality, twisting it and twining it within her ethereal hands. The magic, cowering to her raw will, protecting her as steel protects a warrior.

oh... you're probably wondering why there's no R5... well, when i did the pic, i wrote 4 and then 6.. so, no R5 lol.

((Err, just as a future reference sorta thing, it'd be nice to know some of these things happened before I chose my action. I sorta thought the hail of arrows was 'their' first action, and we were posting responses. Might've outright attacked had I known my specific attackers like this.

But no worries. Waiting for the others this time, as I'll be going just about last.))

((Yesyes, the picture clears up much of this. I was just referring to choice of actions - offensive spell as opposed to defensive spell and such. But looking at the map, I'd likely have done that same thing anyway. So it's cool. Edit Also, is R3 or R4 the elven spellcaster?))

Somewhat annoyed by the minor effect of the costy bolt he just fired away, he turns his head to his right stoically and nods to the dwarf who had just robbed him from his opponent:

You seem to have the right idea. Maybe I'll just have to... adjust.

He drops his crossbow and from his belt running across his back he draws his mighty and exotic two-bladed sword. Then, he decides to wait for the foolish guy to finish his so-called "charge", and should he finally arive, Abbarehetta will try to gut his belly wide open with two oppositely directed swings, made swift and with finesse.

Extremly excited from the battle, Muradin keeps attacking his opponent (R6) without mercy, yelling "I'm gonna rip your head off, and make it my PUPPET!!!" and thinking to himself "I'ma kill all those rebels! I'll teach 'em what's 'tackin me!

Marya spares a moment to glare at Koth as he makes to leave her. Where are you going? She thinks to herself. We have plenty of enemies right here, threatening me. Marya assesses her situation regardless. Fair enough, if the warriors want to play that way and abandon the young woman, she will make due on her own, and they can fair quite nicely without her intervention.

Tapping into the magic still lingering close to her fingertips, Marya takes her quarterstaff in one hand (in case they should get too close), and meanwhile takes a step away from her nearest threats, being careful to cast defensively should she have to as she forges a beam of the raw heat and flame to strike her nearest adversary. Should she be successful in laying waste to her opponent, as she most assuredly plans to be, she will attempt to intimdate the other by mouthing the words 'You're next.'

((Marya takes a 5' back from her nearest opponents and casts Scorching Ray (on the defensive, if need be - +13 Concentration check) at her nearest opponent. (+4 to hit vs touch AC, 4d6 damage, no save. Intimidation check a laughable +1, but maybe circumstance modifiers for frying somebody right in front of him?))
