{Great. 2 out of 6 players posted... } You stand ready, looking around, trying to reveal the sourse of the noise. Crack!You feel the ground under your fit collapse. You look down, and see that the so-called stone is breaking under your weight. Moving might be a bad idea... It seems that your only hope is for a different sun to rise, and hope it doesnt bring more trouble. You stand there, as still as you can, watching the sun climb up from behind the mountains. Looks like it is going to be a long wait... Unfortunatly for you, something interupts your wait. About 50 ft away from you, the stone breaks, and a grey creature jumps out. It is very thin, same color as the ground, and about 5"3 tall. The most disturbing thing is its razor sharp stone claws... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {Hell is a strange place. Well, you'd better come up with a good plan. Who knows whats under the think layer of stone...} {Init is: 23 Muradin, 18 Stone-Dude, 14 Drake, 14 Adelia, 9 Abbar, 6 Ahrd, 5 Kenji. BUT it doesnt mean you have to fight. This is just the order of how things will happen} {Anybody seen Lekor? Artemis told me he's busy. Where's Kauyon?}

(OOC: I have been here, I just had no idea what was going on so I let the group decide)
Drake calls out to the stone creature "Are you friend or foe?" As he does this he puts his hand on his sickle as a sign of strength, but does not draw. He also calls the words to Soften earth and stone to mind. (If the creature attacks right away, Drake will unleash the spell at the creature immediately)
OOC: Who is carrying the scyth from the demon in the ice cave?

"Well, that is a strange thing... I have no ideas now what we gonna do.. obviously walking isn't it.. wait.. the only thing I could think about is digging, my specialty! but I'll need help!" Muradin says, preparing to whatever this strange creature will do - If he attacks surly Muradin will take his Greataxe and strike back!
OOC: when I said "my specialty" I hope you understand that I said it cause I'm a dwarf! By the way, this post doesn't mean I got back (see rants..) it just mean that I got internet for a short period of time.

Be it friend or foe, it's best if we're cautious and draw our weapons before he lashes out with his, Abbar reasons after hearing Lekor. He takes his two-bladed sword but tries to do so without making threatening moves. Then, he adds to Lekor's words, and he speaks abyssal, but if the message doesn't seem to come accross, he'll repeat the same message word for word in common as if trying to make himself plain to some foreign language user:
"We are not some defendless lost souls. We come in peace. Therefore, do not fight us and we shall do neither. Who are you?"
Diplomacy +13

The creature doesnt listen. It leaps towards you, with its' claws ready to slice you up. You are about to defend yourself, as it breaks into thousands of rocks that hit you in great speed.
(Ref saves, all)
The dwarf and Adelia lose thier balance and fall on the unstable ground.
For a second everything is silent. You dont dare to move. A sudden evil laughter echoes through the entire desert.
Muahahaha..!
A split second after that the ground under you collapses and you start falling. You hit hard rock, almost breaking a few bones. (23 damage each)
The opening above you disapears! You are alone in a dark cave with no visible exits. You are beaten and tired after hours of walking in hell, and in your world before you got to hell... It seems safe enough to rest.
At a few places the ground is wet, but there is no sign of any source for the water. The walls are smooth, and reflect everything... Except you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
{I just love throwig trouble at you. ;D}

(OOC sense I just lost 23/26 of my hit points do I pass out or something? Nope. Massive damage is 200. Why? Well, considering you fought something that deals 30 damage per hit when you were level 5... This what you will face when you're level 20? On top of that Abbar just went to zero hp.) You got a cleric over there. Plus, druids can heal too.

{Ahrd spends three power points to avoid 6 damage, thus keeping him from going unconscious and dying- however, he's stuck at 0.
Cel, I can move my Psicrystal (Psion equivalent of Familar) about while Ahrd is unconscious, right?}

"Ahu! that hurts!.. I never expected that thing.. well, I guess we did get to dig eh?" Muradin says without opening his eyes yet.. then gets up "hehe is every one alright?" while he cleans himself from the dust.

Oh I seem to have caused some minor confusion. Actually I was going to post earlier but only managed to edit my hp before I had to leave. Now, in my hurry I mistook the "current hp" for "damage" so I wrote 23. (In short; what you saw was not my current hp before the fall but the damage I got after the fall.) So now I've corrected it and it brings me on *phew* 1hp. Rogues are lucky... Interesting story by the way eh?
Furthermore, may I use my tumble skill to subtract damage from the fall? Tumble +11
By the way: I'm at a loss suddenly; we were here to get some demons, but we are in hell. Maybe it was just subconcious choosing of the word 'hell' or something but aren't we better of looking for demons in the Abyss? What got me to this is; am I better of talking abyssal or infernal here?
Abbar falls on the ground, feeling almost all of his bones are in the wrong place. He stands up painfully but manages to pull himself together. He takes his sword again and angrily shouts into the darkness, as a reaction to the laughter, switching to abbysal/infernal and common at will:
"Come here before us were we can see you if you wish to defy us! Otherwise, leave us be! We come in peace and bring word from the world above."

After the fall, Adelia stands, with her back aching.
Damn this all to hell! I should have gotten some sleep when I could have. Oh well...
Looking around at her belongings, and the current state of her new companions, she simply doesn't have the magic available right now to go about healing these people.
"If we are to survive this, I suggest we rest. I need to prepare my spells, as getting to the hold above and keeping it up against the enemy has depleted me of most of my spells." Realizing her gathering of the grey creatures belongings above, she quickly remembers one thing, and rumages through the bag. Procurring some blue potions, she holds one out, saying, "Maybe this will help."

Yes you may. (4 + 11 = 15 [Rogue are lucky!]) You take 18 damange instead. Maybe it was a subconcious choosing for a word, maybe not. Who knows? Abyss is from Dragon Lance if I am not mistaken. We're very far from Dragon Lance. In Forgotten Realms they got 9 hells, and I dont recall that they were called Abyss. This world is neither. So, I can create whatever I want. ;D As for the language, well, find out for yourself. Now, fangor... Did you know that you carry 191 lbs? Your carrying capacity is 66/133/200. Well, you all have to calculate how much you carry and decide if you want to keep carrying it or not.

Well, seeing I was at medium load, I shall dump some things to get back to light. I hope I won't regret it...
blanket winter, 10 rations, waterskin, grappling hook, climber's kit
Abbar will use both infernal and abyssal besides common in that case.

Kenji's eyes widen as he starts to fall and he lets out a loud umph as he hits the ground. "I am starting to regret coming here to work with this Master." He stands up and brushes his body off and looks around. "Is everyone alright?"
(He is now at 19 hp)

Celebril - The weight was including the saddle, warhorse, saddlebags and such. I went ahead and updated all that was left behind.
Adelia drops her belongings, throwing down the winter blanket at her feet. "Well, I don't think I have a need for most of this stuff. What about you guys?" She removes a very pretty shortsword, a very pretty longsword, and a silver short sword. She throws them down, in case any of the others want to have them. They are useless to her.

Drake gives a soft moan, and slowly rolls over spitting blood and vomitting from the pain. After a moment he manages to clear his head enough to cast cure light wounds on himself.
