Londo and Graak - As you move behind the bar, you lean against it and order a few ales to make your spying look a little less suspicious. [Spot Checks Vs. Hide Checks = 23/18 vs. 30 (He rolled a 20)] Just as you move up to the bar, you notice the thin man is gone. He is no where to be found. [Listen Checks, Both Success] You do hear, above the cacophony of the bar, the sound of something being pulled shut - like a hatch on a ship. You hear metal bolts slide into wood, the distinct thud of planks slapping planks of wood... With a tap of your foot, you confirm...there is a space beneath the bar. Now how to get down there...------------------------------------------------------------------------ Drop'Gar - You become aware of Arturick's voice and you your heart sinks. He goes on in a tirade - ranting about something. "It's probably a ruse...and I fell for it. Damned foolish me..."
"Oh well..at least I have someone to take it out on."You hear a female voice, timid and shy merely mutter an agreement with Arturck. Then the voices fade away as they head towards another portion of the labratory. You begin to wonder what it was all about. Did Elxethan fail? Where are Londo and Graak...what is going on? If only these damn shackles didn't hold you to the wall... __________________________________________________________________________________________

If only... wait and wait some more till my situation changes.
Something must have gone wrong. If Arturick is here, and Elxethan is not.. then something must have gone badly. But not too badly since Arturick's not happy; if he foiled us, he'd be gloating all over it... no, my companions are still out there, somewhere....

So it's nigh-directly beneath the bar. He couldn't move fast enough to dissapear otherwise. Good to know...but DAMN it, how do I get down there?
Just then, Graak thinks of an...unusual way of dealing with the situation. Grinning mischeiveously, he casts two spells, both hopefully lost in the chaos of the area: the first is a Light spell on a plank in the floor near-totally obscured by the bar or another convenient object, the second is a Create Water spell cast on the most isolated bit of floor (preferably a closet or the like) that's hollow.
With water cascading down from the ceiling and a plank suddenly glowing, they'll be bound to come upstairs just to figure out what the Hell's going on. Now, I watch for sudden appearences.
Graak watches for strangers suddenly entering from unexpected quarters, and listens for the operation of the trapdoor to pinpoint its location. (Spot, Listen +7)
