You call Bytack back. He nods at your words "Very well, I would agree"
It doesnt take long to prepare the bodies. No linen can be found, but the cloth sacks in the barn serve as adequate grave wrappings. You bury them deep in the firm soil that was once their home and say some words. The wind changes bringing along on the breeze the fresh hint of fire. The Drow have been busy tonight. With a heavy heart, you return to the inn and join the others. Geraint is silent on the way home. He says nothing as he returns to his home. However, you know it was for the best. No sense running into a situation that could run out of hand.
You sleep well and no one bothers you further. You rise early with the sun taking a light breakfast before gathering your gear and heading back to the buck residence.
Mal, you point out the tracks to Ewan who sniffs carefully around the area, trying to pick out the scent of Drow blood. The tracks are easy to spot. Brytack had stamped them down well to mark the start of the trail.
Ewan, the smell of blood is weak. Only a small amount is present, but mingled with the other scents - three in total, the trail is just possible to follow. You follow the scent of Drow for some time, an hour maybe until you breakout near another farmstead. This one has also been torched. However, no bodies are found. Either the place was empty or the occupants were taken...Another sniff around [wis=12] fails to locate any scent trails [survival=30] however, your eyes show a well covered trail, which leads about half a mile towards the hills before vanishing. You back track towards the inn, confused as to how the Drow disappeared.
***If anyone wants to do anything at the second farmstead, let me know. I'm spinning on a little for the sake of brevity***
By the time you have made your way back to Tyrrell keep inn, the sun is high in the sky. These drow are obviously careful not to be discovered. It seems even if you had continued tracking them last nigh, they would still have been long gone. Drawing by the rear of the inn as always, you notice the horse bearing the colours of Randal Morn, lord of Daggerdale. It seems a messenger has arrived for someone.
Setting yourself down in the inn, you take a little food and drink and discuss the mornings finds. However, you a interupted by a boy of 15, a squire bearing the colours of Randal Morn. He stand to attention as if addressing a senior officer. "Sirs, lord Morn requests your presence in Daggerfalls. The recent speight of Drow raids has stretched our defences too far and he requests your aid". With a curt bow, he presents a scroll bearing Morn's seal. It reads as the squire presented. He bows and leaves you.
