[Tender] As casual check of the remains of the door show that there are steel loops on either side set in the stone. A piece of chain is wrapped around the inside set of loops and is bound by a well made pad lock. By the looks of thinks, Drow unlock the door at night, raid the surrounding area then vanish back to the crypts and reseal them. {OODM: Sorry, i should of made that clearer in the previous game post}
[Mal] Casting detect magic, you sweep the area. There is no sign of any magical glamour within your range (60ft). The spell lasts another 9 rounds unless dismissed.
[Coppertop] [Heal check = 19] You can see that three of the bodies perished by crossbow bolt wounds only. The other two bare puncture marks, but not in areas to kill, only maim. Those drow then bear terrible blunt force trauma. One in particular to the head. A rather gruesome sight. You would estimate they have been dead no more than a week. Without thinking, you have seen this insignia many times before, it is of the Drow doddess Lolth - the Spider Queen.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The is the (non-magical) door on the left leading to D4 or the corridor leading off to the right.

Somebody was moving in and out of here when they pleased, and there were dead Drow about, which meant there were potential allies nearby.
Now we knew we were in the right place. Always an excellent start.
"Let's keep going. Big lads up ahead, there's a turning see...what's in there. Nobody go off on their own."
Tender couldn't help but get all tense and super-wary when on a job, muttering about this and that, and careful of this, and look at that. Still, that was his trade, it's what he was good at. People thought it unecessary, but their guards always dropped first, later on, and when they did, they were always glad that his stayed up.
Tender doesn't care how dead these Drow look either, he's running them through to make sure, and be damned with anyone that doesn't like it.
{No post Monday or Tuesday. Tender will use Search+15 whenever he gets a chance, and other than that, maintain a very vigilant rearguard. He will also complain if anybody's too noisy, or if anybody wants to delay the party's progress. Swift and silent everybody, let's go! =)}

Mal moves closer to the bodies, then towards the right tunnel. He keep his Detect Magic up, just in case, as the larger allies take the lead. "Doesn't seem to be any magic aura's nearby, but they could be just out of my range. Let's keep moving..."
Slythre will scan the area, looking for any other rats nearby. (Hey Wicksy, if there are any other rats nearby, please let me know, as my familiar can speak with them. And he would want to do that!)

Holding back his prayers for the vile deceased Coppertop stands from his task and states the obvious.
"We will get used to that symbol before long; their patron goddess is Lloth, and you can bet she won't take kindly to us interefering with their plans. It will be a shame to upset her."
Weapon at the ready Coppertop follows the others.
{EDIT: Move silently +1}

''She'll have to get used to it, whatever she have in mind. We will come, and disrupt her.''
Looking at the corpse, Akatas continu.
''That is one of the single things that I like when fighting evil, most of the time, it manage to damage itself before we even hit them. Pathetic.''

Lusione, smiling, follow.
''I hope nobody fear spiders here !''

(OOC: Can a spell-like ability be 'dispelled' like any ordinary spell?)

p.289 of the V.3.5 DMG states: "Spell like abilities are subject to spell resistance and dispel magic. They do not function in areas where magic is suppressed or negated (such as an antimagic field)."
So yes, they can be dispeled.

{To be more specific, spell like abilities can only be suppressed; you can't permanently rid them of it, merely suppress it for a short while. Just incase there's any questions later. }

So, if I understand correctly, I cast daylight on an object .. I can dispel it, let's say, the next round? Just to be sure...

{I think there may be a misunderstanding. A mincing of terms. Based on your most recent question it seems that you'r asking whether or not you can dismiss the daylight spell which you cast as a spell like ability.
Per teh spell description a caster can dismiss (not dispel) the spell at will. Based on your char sheet it would appear you can cast it and dismiss the effect at will.
Dispelling is used to get rid of spells you can't dismiss (either because they spell won't allow it or the spell is not yours to dismiss).
Hopefully that clears it up.}

Leading the way, Ewan knows little of this spider, but doesn't fear them. They could not survive on the harsh arctic tundra for a single day. What manner of tribe would select such a pathetic creature as their symbol.
"No fear kindred," Ewan whispers as he turns the corner.
