2 - 006 - The Dordrien Crypts

Creeping silently forward (or not so silently), you round the corner and continue onwards. From the rear, Tender begins to whine "Come on guys! You'd wake the dead with the racket your making. Heel down first and roll the foot. That way, there is no sound.....*sigh*"

[Mal]
Immediately rounding the bend, you detect a clear magical field around the door directly in front of you around the corner (D4). After a further 2 rounds of study, you, determine that there is moderate strength conjuration magic at work.

Further on down the corridor, there is a door to your right (D5), which also emits a magial aura. A further few rounds of study reveal this to be necromantic in origin and of moderate strength.

EDIT: Sorry, checked the table in the text for Detect magic. I was wrong, both aura's are moderate as the text now reads. BTW, Scott is away for a few days, so feel free to take charge of his character until then (he'll mostly moan for everone being too loud or slow ;D )

Turning to Tender, Mal gives the warning, WHISPERING: "Looks like magic. Both doors. Not good either, Necromatic aurus, strong too. More than likely, traps..."

He then moves away from each door, to give the rogue plenty of room for his skills to be used. (Not sure, but would this constitute a AID for Tender on these doors and searching for traps?)

Afterwards, Mal will contemplate on Dispelling the Magic, just in case.... (Not sure what Strong means, will have to look up and see if Dispelling it might be feasible, anyone know?)

Only a rogue may use the search skill to find traps. Think of like you can see the magic at work and tell what it is, but only Tender has the expertise to know where the trap is located and how it is triggered.

Noting that his companions see something strange, Ewan waits for them to investigate it. Until they said smash, he would wait, for he was patient. Patient, so long as his nerves were sated as they were now, buzzing tenderly with soft energy.
