Halting at the first door, Tender waves you all back. "Gimme space guys, I need to work". He begins to survey the surface of the doorway, carefully scanning it entirely looking for the slightest sign of the magical aura. [Tender search = 33; success] "There! There it is. I've found it!" Tender points to a seemingly inoccuous piece of door proudly and you nod in dumb agreement. ------------------------------------------------------------- [Tender disable device = 15; fail] Nodding at the party, tender pulls a small chisel like pick from his belt pouch and begins to work away at the spot he found. A few seconds of scraping later and his face is illuminated by a golden glow - he has detontated the trap! A peal of thunder rings out and in a puff of silver smoke, two bright golden lions appear, roaring with anger. Initiatives: Akatas, Tender, Mal, Lusione, Coppertop, Ewan, Celestial Dire Lions Tender's jaw drops in surprise and fear. The two lions appear directly in front of and rake out with their sharp golden claws. Map:

''You've found the switch to make these things appear Tender? Promising, really.''Akatas look at the lion without much emotion, taking a javelin from her back and throw it with a quick, powerful, almost mechanical move. [dice=20] +9 = 21 Damage: [dice=6] +5 = 9 Aiming at D2 _______________ Lusione, talking a tad loud, talk to Tender too, with an amused voice. ''Now I understand why you were refusing to come here, haha.''She really doubt that Tender will be insulted with such words, since she have the habit to mock her team like that, but never with the intention to actually hurt them. Akatas on the other side.... She then take her bow and shot at a lion too. Full attack on D2 [dice=20] +10 [dice=20] +5 Damage: [dice=6] +2 [dice=6] 8+5cold Oh, and if it was one of the time that I was suposed to inspire courage with the bard, feel free to throw e-rocks at me.[rand=561497033450755370719215670115012312708108593273246280537191838194]

Mal's mind begins to whirl, setting into motion the practiced actions that have so many times come with but a simple thought. His hand grips the wand with ease, as he has so many times done before. The wand was always out when Tender was working, past time have proven it a good choice.
As the figures of two Lions, larger than normal and apparently more fierce appear before them, Mal knows that time is short. He decides on trying to even the playing field. He engulfs the ground before the lions into a layer of slippery GREASE, making them have to watch their footing or else fall. The wand will have to wait...
(DC 17 Reflex Save or Fall, Repeated each round, for 10 rounds. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Balance check. Failure means it can’t move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls.)
Being Attacked while Balancing: You are considered flat-footed while balancing, since you can’t move to avoid a blow, and thus you lose your Dexterity bonus to AC (if any). If you have 5 or more ranks in Balance, you aren’t considered flat-footed while balancing. If you take damage while balancing, you must make another Balance check against the same DC to remain standing.
Grease is in ten fot square, under both lions.
(Hopefully they fail and can be easy cleanup for the rogue, with that nasty sneak attack. DEX should come off of their AC as well, so that would be a plus. Wicksy, please roll the Reflex saves so that the others after my action might have a better shot at hitting them or not.)

Stepping next to the monk (assuming Tender withdraws like I would hope), Ewan has little fear of these pups. They were big, they were strong, but they lacked the soul of the warrior. Something was strange about these creatures for sure, but having no idea what it was, Ewan assumes it is some form of devilery. Like most devilery, it required a swift return to hell.
One steel claw drops, +17 (d12+12)
[dice=20]
Then another +17 (d12+12)
[dice=20]
And a bite
+11 2d6+5
[dice=20]
Rend if both claws hit. 2d8+16
Few could withstand his furious attack, but if these creatures were bewitched, perhaps they could.[rand=41673606137911594364047386952406692424782677425077189537193194239]

"Spilt rubys! Dash!!!" shouts Tender, on seeing the trap sprung and the lions appear before him.
Tender Tumbles out of trouble, to the rear of the party - he wasn't afraid to go toe-to-toe if need be, but there better fighters to hand, and they seem to have taken it upon themselves to get packed up close behind, just incase the trap was sprung by accident.
How long had they been working together? And they still did it...

Waiting for Akatas to step around him and take her place at the front line Coppertop unleashes one of his offensive spells at the roaring creature before him.
