Tender, Lusione and Coppertop stalk about the crypt looking for information.
Tender, hands in pockets eyes up the stone tombs. Encrusted with the dust of ages, they havent been opened in years. All those gravegoods, untouched, still there. What jewels would nobles have worn eh? You are broken from you day dream by Lusione who follows you around. You shoot her a scowl and whe returns it with an innocent smile. You find no traps or hidden compartments. This is just a simple crypt for the dead.
Coppertop, finds a crest under the dust. Rubbing it away, reveals little else. Certainly a noble family. But one that predates the dalelands. You have heard nothing of anything save the the Dordriens (who are not buried here) were a noble family who ruled this land for maybe a century or so before something happened to erase them from history.
Satisfied that this room is safe, and quite sure the dead should rest in peace, You exit the room and head towards the next door. You can all see clearly the steps that descend downwards. More than likely, this was the part of the crypt where rich nobles were interred. Surfs wand peasants were probably laid down below.
[Ewan and Slythre scent check; Slythre pass]Mal - Slythre can smell Drow. Many have passed this way from down below on a regular basis.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you inspect the door in the corridor here or travel down below?

"I expect it's another crypt." whispers Tender, moving ahead, approaching the door.
If it looks unopened, like the last one did, he advises the party steer clear and head on down the steps. If it looks like it's frequented, "something moves in and out of here with ease, let's check inside." and he'll motion to Ewan to open it up.
Either way, Search[dice=20]+15=(22) to check it out, just a cursory look, we've wasted enough time already.
How many times had this been the way of things. Ever side-tracked, ever interrupted, ever the easily distracted. Sure, there was loot to be had here, but he'd have to come back for it, Tender knew that, his comrades had morales after all.
Some of them less than they pretended however, he was sure of that...Tender casts Lusione a fake smile.
Tender is itching to get deeper. He was sure these were just graves up here. If Drow were coming out of below, there was a seam somewhere below to the Underdark. That's what they were really looking for.[rand=321748009654686369907508708042788905119842775738014882347911741811]

Before we go too far; Coppertop asks Tender to re-lock the tomb room. No sense making it easy for others to despoil the graves. (It should just be a open lock roll versus the same DC as the lock; unless we just bashed the door in... then it doesn't matter.)
Coppertop stays near the middle or back as the party marches down into the darkness.

Tender is very keen to do a good job of locking the tomb door again. All the better to keep any thieving rascals out until he could get back...

Not much happening here. Ewan is unsure of what this place bodes. Had they found the hole in the ice here, or was this a false lead?
"The higher the snow piles, the deeper the grass lies," Ewan muses. Like Tender, he wants to head down, but experience tells him to not act hastily. Even his great health and armor would not help much should the floor open and drop him into a pit a hundred feet deep or trigger a stream of acid.
There was need for a team. So Ewan instead allows Tender to look first, so that he may leap into the frozen ocean and not into the tentacles of the Kracken.

Mal has kept quiet for the most part, watching.... When Slythre picks up the scent, he realys the information to Mal, who then speaks up. "The Drow scent is from below. Numerous times have they passed this way. Let us go down below.."
