You all study the statue closely wondering what it is. Coppertop scratches his head and realises that it is a depiction of Jergal, god of crypts, tombs and burials. Relieved that this statue is of human origin, you study it further.
Tender carefully examines its surface and spots something very interesting. This statue is extremely well made. No visible tool marks can be found. Whoever made this was an exceptional craftsman...or a cunning mage. Whats more, there are ever so faint engravings of runes about its body.
Akatas, you watch the statue intently makeing sure it soesnt spring to life. There is no sign of any movement.
Lusione racks her brain humming a gentle tune [Bardic knolwedge=26]. She speaks up. "I remember now, people used to say that the gods protected the crypts and tombs from those that would seek to disturb the dead. Rich and powerful lords kept their dead safe with magical guardians"
Satisfied that the statue is not significant to their quest, Ewan drops to all fours and snuffles at the ground taking in the variety of scents that linger in the crypt [Scent, Ewan success, Slythre fail]. Ewan, there is the unmistakeable scent of Drow. it continues from this cave out where you started from up the stairs. Its source lies somewhere in the caves past the cavern you are in. There is another scent...very different. Something you've never smelt before. Like brimstone and sulphur. Its faint, but noticable. Something else is here in these caverns other than you and the Drow.
Looking around, all is quiet and nothing but yourselves appear to be in this cavern.
There is a tunnel ahead of you leading further into the cavern complex. Other than the way you came in, it is the only exit from this room.
