Ewan lashing out with his claws slices through the strands holding the weakened cleric. Leaning forward, he tears into its flesh. Crit confirm [dice=20], yup, a crit!

Ewan tears a sizeable chunk of flesh from the roper and spits out the foul flesh.

(Akatas, that was before damage reduction, sorry). Akatas lets fly with her fists pummelling the face of the stalagmite and knocking free several crystalline teeth. [damage=32].

Tender, you melt into a shadow and move at full speed (-10 to hide check) towards the roper's rear [hide=33]. The roper eyes you desperately (spot [dice=20] = 21;fail) but fails to see you sneak around its back poised to strike next round.

The roper exudes two more strands and finding Ewan and Akatas the most immdediate threat lashes out again (4 strands - 2 already attached to Ewan)

On Akatas [dice=20] + 11 = 13
[dice=20] + 11 = 22

Grapple check Akatas [dice=20] + 9 = 20
grapple check roper [dice=20] + 18 = 29

It tugs Akatas to the floor and bites at her [dice=20] + 17 = 18 (crit miss) but she wriggles enough to prevent it biting her.

The roper lets fly two more strands at Ewan

Again, Ewan easily resists the roper's attempts to drag him to the floor.

Mal casts true strike from his wand and Coppertop casts magic stone, both ready to strike out if needed.

Last I saw this post it was only half done; so I didn't want to post till I saw what happened for the round.


Taking one of the now magically imbued stones into his hand he loads the projectile into his sling and lets it fly at the abomination, hoping not to harm his friends in the process.

He is thankful that the sling doesn't require any real strength to use and prays for Moradin to guide his hand.

IF this thing is still alive by the time Mal's turn comes up:

Mal conjurs forth a floating orb, green and sickly in color. He hurls the orb at the roper, easily dodging his allies and letting it splpash against the creatures tough hide. He then grins at the pain that ensues, knowing that even with its powers, it will not be able to withstand his altered forms of magic.

Lesser Orb of Acid (Energy Substitution), Ranged Touch Attack at +28[dice=20]=47+3=50!!!
