Tender searches around the granite wall and the hole in the tunnel floor. It is clear that the granite wall is far fomn natural. You conclude that it was likely produced by magic such as Wall of Stone. Turning your attention to the hole, you find a few charred scraps of thick spider webbing. You suspect that this hole was recently covered by a thick layer of spider webbing, which was opened up by burning it away. The iron loop seems a perfect place to anchor a rope.
Deciding that the two Drow you are chasing must of leapt down the hole you decide to follow after them. The light ruins you dark vision, but you see that the hole goes about 10' then opens up into some kind of cavern. However, you cannot see much more than 10' downwards without throwing the stone down further. Lusione pockets the stone while Tender afixes a rope to the loop and casts it don the hole. You hear the coils strike the floor, indicating that there is not much in the way of climbing downwards. You all listen at the hole to see if anything is disturbed by your presence [listen checks; highest =26]. You hear nothing. Everything is quiet...
{Marching order} (i assume) Ewan, Abs, Lusione, Tender, Coppertop and Mal
Pressing onwards, Ewan is first to descend, followed by Abs. Taking your time, you are easily able to work your way down the rope. Ewan, it is a slightly tight fit for you in there, but as your legs break through into the top of the cavern, you hear a word...
"Ezzract!"
Peering down, you see a lithe figure pointing something, a wand. The tip glows white as a nimbus of blue shoots forth. It wears a smile of purest delight. Passing through both, Ewan and Abs, the lightning bolt dissipates with a crack on the stone ceiling (damn, they changed the rules. No reflection ;D ). The others by the tunnel mouth leap back in shock. You have walked right into an ambush!
Right, the lightning bolt passes through Ewan and Abs. Luckily for you, i cant use the old second ed. ploy of aiming the bolt diagonally in order to hit you both multiple times ;D

Ewan save
[dice=20] + 8 = 12 (fail)
Abs save
[dice=20] + 12 = 29 (pass)
Footsteps can be heard as the Drow mage moves away.
You have walked into an ambush, and these drow seem well prepared. How will you deal with them now?
Edit: Well, there was nothing regarding saving throws in the SRD about confined spaces/prone etc... so saving throws are posted above.
