I noticed a lot of your character sheets here have some term called B.A.G. and I'm just curious as to what it means. I think it refers to bag/backpack or something, as it clearly has something to do with equipment and such. But why make it look like an abbreviation, if that is what it is. Maybe I'm doing something 'wrong' or maybe it is a handy trick of yours to fill in those char sheets, or maybe it's a language-based problem. Anyway, I'm curious. Could someone tell me what it means and does etc?

Vemu, B.A.G. Stands for "Basic Adventuring Gear". It's an acronym for a standard purchase that all adventurers should have. The exact details of it are found in the following link B.A.G. - Basic Adventuring Gear

k, thanks for helping me there. Handy thing I must say this B.A.G. I don't know however if I have missed any other obvious links here on the forum, but if not, wouldn't it be a good idea to put this link somewhere were certain new people can find it easily? Say in that new faq or something? Just a suggestion.

I'm curious if the B.A.G. is something our Table group just came up with or if others have had similar ideas. It definitely makes the mundane aspects of character creation easier.

I thought it was kind of a universal D&D thing. My group does it (well, one of them).

It was new to my group. I prefer not to use it, despite its convenience. The weight can be a bit tricky.

Weight is an interesting point. When our group started we had a rule of thumb that you could carry as much as you want, but if you ever stopped and asked how much every thing weighed then you were crushed under it all. Now I think for the most part we leave things to reason, i.e a character with an 11 STR isn’t easily carrying a set of full plate in his back pack sort of thing.
