A languid, pale young man, Perry strikes most people he meets as courteous, thorough, and curiously devoid of hobbies.
Other people he meets, he strikes with a poisoned dagger in the throat.
Perry doesn't remember his parents. He had them of course, but who they were or where they were from, well, that's anyone's guess. He was raised from a young age by a local textiles merchant, who ran a small business in Port Rislan dealing in imported goods and caravan trade. This particular merchant also had a rather interesting side business; smuggling deadly contraband throughout the region, poisons and illegal equipment. For certain clients, he did more than just provide the goods; as a skilled assassin, his personal services were something only the wealthiest of clients could afford. And as the boy, Perry, worked in his shop and learned about textiles and imports, so he also learned the finer points of a different trade. Once the boy was old enough, they worked jobs together, until Perry was old enough to go out on his own. He continued in the deadly business that he had learned since childhood, fostering his own contacts and constantly honing his skills. Several years after he left out on his own, his adoptive father was killed while doing a job; he had been slowing down, and finally, one of his targets caught up to him.
Perry doesn't intend to slow down. He's not a psychopath, and he doesn't love money. Almost completely amoral, Perry's only obsession is staying alive to do his job. His mentor could almost name his price for his services; Perry always takes extreme care to plan, prepare, and execute the jobs he gets to build the same kind of credibility. With his remarkable skill, incredible calm, and utter ruthlessness, even men powerful and lawless enough to enlist his services know he is always a man to be respected and feared.
