The hotel staff are in no place to disagree with several respectable individuals, even if they do seem to take your acquaintance with Jeremy with no small amount of confusion. They stand aside from the door, and one of them even holds it open for you while the other steps in, to speak to you as you go. [To whoever decides to enter at the front.]
“I apologize – I mean, we had no idea someone like him would be… Well, nevermind it. But all this business of someone being in danger, if there’s actually something to it, perhaps I should accompany you all. Just in case.” [Psychology Rolls] The doorman seems genuine enough in his words. After all, if there’s trouble afoot in his hotel, why shouldn’t he want to know about it?
Regardless of whether you allow this man to accompany you, [please let me know] you make your way to the elevator, and up to Elias’s floor. Though it is surely faster than taking the stairs, the ride is uncomfortably slow, and you are glad when doors finally open on the fourth floor. Checking his pocketwatch, Thurman can see that it’s just about 8 pm, the appointed time. Without delay, you step up to Room 410, the strange homeless man in tow, and knock on the door.
There is no response. [Listen Checks] Everyone except Jeremy and Joe hear the faint sounds of movement from within the room, but it is muffled, and clearly an attempt at being quiet.

{I say we brush off the doorman and tell him we'll let him know if his assistance is needed. We don't want him in our pivate meeting with Elias.}
When they arrive at the door and Thurman detects noises within his brow furrows. If Elias was expecting them, why would he not answer the door?
{I presume Sam is leading, since this is afterall his direct contact.} "Knock again and let him know its you," Thurman prompts in a quiet voice. "If he's in danger, he could be worried about other visitors."

A frown creeps along Tommy's face as he slips his hand into his pocket and slides his brass knuckles on to his fists. "Mr. Elias, we are here for your 8 pm meeting, please open the door or let us know if you are okay in there."

[assuming we've made the door attendant stay behind]
Rebecca is getting concerned--first this poor fellow, Jeremy, was adamantly claiming that someone was trying to kill Jackson...and, after Jackson insisting that they all meet him here at 8 PM sharp and then not answering the door...
Maybe I'm just being silly, she thinks, but something doesn't feel right here. She waits a few more seconds and looks worriedly at the others.

(Assuming this provokes no appreciable response...) The prizefighter gives Tommy a sidelong glance and a grin as he pulls a set of brass knuckles out of a pocket and slips them on. Turning to the others, he holds out three fingers, then two, then one- seizes the doorknob and hurls the door open.m

Jeremy was very worried about Mr. Elias, and could only think about how long it would take Samuel to get the police to help. And then this large bloke looked like he was preparing for a fight, that much Jeremy could guess. There was only one thing that Jeremy could do, and that was to make sure that when the door would be opened, he wouldn't be immediately visible to anyone behind it with bad intentions.
